It's the Perfect Pitch for this sequel as Pitch Perfect takes the top spot from Avengers and Mad Max. bringing in an estimated $70,000,000 and as many predicted after Friday coming in at #2 Mad Max #FuryRoad with an estimated $44,440,000 falling out of the top spot to #3 Avengers with $38,387,000 however it continues to gross $372,008,000. Hot Pursuit also tumbled dropping 2 spots to #4 Hot Pursuit $5,780,000 and rounding out the 5. Paul Blart Mall Cop 2 $3,600,000.

Mark kicked this weeks Episode 294 off talking to Tara Hitchcock from CBS Phoenix about Hot Pursuit in the Retro Reel Review. Tara was not a fan of the movie but did an excellent job talking with Mark.



The group talked about 3 new movies this week leading off with Mad Max Everyone seemed to like it but added to see it on the Esquire IMAX Theatre screen for the full effect of the the movie. Mark talked with several of the stars from the movie including Jacob Tomuri, Tom Hardy, Nicholas Hoult, and Charlize Theron Longtime Director of the movie  George Miller was back at it again.




Then Mark talked about Where Hope Grows Mark really like that they used a Special Needs Actor for the role of a Special Needs person



The final new movie talked about was Pitch Perfect 2 EVERYONE liked it and dare I say loved it? I can also share Sacramento TV Reporter/Broadcaster Alexis DelChiaro enjoyed it very much. A lot of Movies Goers are saying this movie is better than the first movie.




New to DVD this week was Blackhat starring Chris Hemsworth as a computer hacker and Mortdecai starring Johnny Depp.

We are in the 3rd week of May and we have a NEW #1 Movie at the Box Office and they are Angry. Not just any Angry but Angry Birds with an estimated $39,000,000. After 2 weeks at #1 Captain America - Civil War will fall to #2 with an estimated $33,114,000. Coming in at #3 this week will be Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising $21,790,000. The Nice Guys will finish in a distant 4th spot with an estimated $11,270,000. The Jungle Book (2016)  $11,017,000.
