SAC STATE: JAZZ BAND
Today on Good Day Nha was with Sacramento State’s Jazz Ensemble who has been selected as one of six finalists in the college big band category of the Monterey Next Generation Jazz Festival and is getting ready to hit the road (March 27-29) to perform and compete with the other five. The annual festival offers a place for college, high school and middle school bands and vocal groups to perform, learn more about their craft and compete with other groups before an esteemed panel of adjudicators and judges from the jazz world.

We have 1 more day left in the week and the temperature is rising outside so it's time to think about some cool inside activities perhaps Bowling With the Kings is an option. Today Cody was in Rocklin dressed as a Bowling Pin talking about the Kingpin Bowling Event where you can bowl with Kings Players Old and New. Kings Dancers and of course the BEST Mascot in Basketball Slamson.

If Bowling isn't your thing how about attending Brian Cralls 5th Annual 48 hours of Comedy at The Comedy Spot featuring many comedians including Chris Emery who can also be seen on Mark at the Movies.

The 11th Mel Vs Maloney Challenge took place today and like a Beer Can Crushed on your Forehead on a Saturday Night Melissa dominated the contest over Jason. The score for all three rounds was not even close and now Jason has the Horses Butt Trophy back on his desk for his poor performance. Melissa was also learning how to brew beer at Knee Deep Brewing after she defeated Jason.

Kristin was in El Dorado checking out Orphan Horses

Nha spent most of the morning at Sac State. First checking out Piano's for sale, then she attended and gave a preview of Avenue Q. An adult Puppet Show and finally she was with the Sac State Jazz Ensemble as they get ready for the Monterey Next Generation Jazz Festival as they are one of 6 finalist colleges to be selected.

Easter is right around the corner (A Week from Sunday) and Gina showed how to make Easter Baskets in today's Thrifty Thursday.
