Divergent Series Takes Top Spot / @Markatthemovies Episode 286 Highlights

Box Office Report:
As expected we will have a new number 1 at the Box Office this week when all is said and done. Divergent Series Insurgent Movie is well on its way to reaching at least $54,000,000 which puts it behind Divergent when it opened. It is however pushing last weeks #1 Cinderella out of the top spot as many experts predicted including Mark S. Allen from Mark at the Movies Though the Box Office numbers are not official until Monday this weeks estimates are as follows. Divergent Series - Insurgent $54,025,000 Dropping 1 spot to #2 Cinderella $34,492.000, Also dropping 1 spot to #3 Run All Night $5,115,000 Opening a very disappointing 4th The Gunman $5,009,000 and rounding out the top 5 Kingsman Secret Service $4,600,000. (All totals are estimates and will update Monday)

Mark sat down with many of its stars including Shailene Woodléy Ansel Elgort Theo James Miles Teller and Octavia Spencer Also in this weeks Episode (286) Contest winner Emily Thompson did a fantastic job on her first ever red carpet event though for this movie the carpet was blue. It is sure to be an experience that Emily will never forget. 

The show also featured Alexa Renee, Dionne Renee, Heather Brent, Jordyn Rollings, Brian Crall with appearances by Chris Emery and Short - E. 

Also talked about this week in Retro Reel Review was last weeks #1 Cinderella and new to DVD Top Five with Chris Rock. 

Next week Get Hard with Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart plus "Home" with Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez, Jim Parsons, and Steve Martin. I;m just going to throw this out but Get Hard could unseat Insurgent next week but nothing is for sure so until then I will see you at the movies...

We are in the 3rd week of May and we have a NEW #1 Movie at the Box Office and they are Angry. Not just any Angry but Angry Birds with an estimated $39,000,000. After 2 weeks at #1 Captain America - Civil War will fall to #2 with an estimated $33,114,000. Coming in at #3 this week will be Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising $21,790,000. The Nice Guys will finish in a distant 4th spot with an estimated $11,270,000. The Jungle Book (2016)  $11,017,000.
