Thanksgiving Ideas.... Today in the News 11/22/2013:
Opening Statement:
Before I get to my Opening Statement for today I want to share with you that I am always looking to make Today in the News better and more user friendly. I love when our local media personal read this because they can always give me feedback and tell me if I did something wrong or if they like something or if they would like to see something new, such is the case last night. Fox40's Zohreen corrected me that the dog with the scarf from yesterday WAS NOT up for adoption. I apologize for the error. She also said she loves looking at the photos added and it would be nice to know where or who they came from so from this day forward each station will have a special section where to find more info and the thank you for the photos. I use. So if you have any suggestions please let me know. I want to make Today in the News the BEST it can be.
Now onto today... Though I am not old enough to remember 50 years ago we Americans lost a GREAT President. Today marks the 50th Anniversary of the shooting death of John F. Kennedy when he traveled to Dallas. Like many of us that witnessed 9-11 our parents and grandparents remember the days events like it was yesterday upon hearing the news of his death. My mom still remembers what she was doing at the time. She was Ironing clothes and the news broke and she became numb much like we did on 9-11. She to this day believes he was set up to go to Dallas. Now does she think 2 shooters did this... She really doesn't know. I know for me I would love to know the truth of what really happened today 50 years ago. Today we Remember JFK in Today in the News....

Final Thoughts:
With today being the 50th Anniversary of JFK the news blocks covered parts of it though much didn't get started until after they finished their shows. They did get hit hard with the windy conditions throughout the valley with wires and trees falling but the bigger news turned out to be BART computers failing causing wide spread Bay Area traffic into a frenzy. My best friend who lives in Bay Area it took her 2 hours to get to the city for a conference she was attending normal time about 45-60 minutes driving.
It's also turkey cooking season so each year KCRA/My58 holds a turkey drive for those who need extra help this holiday season.
With the turkey you need to cook it and Zohreen from Fox40 enlisted the help from Sac Fire on how to prepare it and not have a kitchen fire. Zohreen also gave us table ediquitte. Plus they recapped Sac Best of event hosted by Stefanie Cruz who always looks radiant.
Good Day Sacramento got into the thanksgiving spirit as well with my favorite Interior Decorator The beautifully talented Kerrie Kelly and her great ideas to decorate using items found at Garage Sales. They also talked to heart throb and star if Best Man Holiday and a great movie to see over the Thanksgiving weekend, Morris Chestnut who beat Ken in Madden 41-6 and now Ken wants a rematch. In addition to that Melissa showed us a new gaming company that restores and rents the games out which would be a great idea for the kids during your thanksgiving dinners. Mark traveled to Disneyland which is something else families love to do during the thanksgiving break. Cody talked to chocolatier Jessica about Brownie Pizza which would be a fun desert for kids to make but you must get the supplies from her because these special supplies are not sold in stores. Finally I can't confirm yet but I believe Ken dropped a hint in hus Manly Minute that he and his wife Heather are working on or worked on having another child to go with son Malcolm.
Finally we danced into the weekend with Morris Day and The Time to hand off the weekend to Cody and Amy. We also found out that after Good Day Sacramento ended our push to get Cody to #IronBowl2013 fell short and Cody will not be able to attend. Sorry buddy I know you as well as all of us wanted you to go. See you tomorrow 7-11 for Good Day Sacramento Weekend.
Thursday Night Football:
The New Orleans Saints traveled to Atlanta to send them to a 2-9 record. The Saints are now 9-2 winning 17-13

Finally I can't confirm yet but I believe Ken dropped a hint in hus Manly Minute that he and his wife Heather are working on or worked on having another child to go with son Malcolm.
Finally we danced into the weekend with Morris Day and The Time to hand off the weekend to Cody and Amy. We also found out that after Good Day Sacramento ended our push to get Cody to #IronBowl2013 fell short and Cody will not be able to attend. Sorry buddy I know you as well as all of us wanted you to go. See you tomorrow 7-11 for Good Day Sacramento Weekend.
Thursday Night Football:
The New Orleans Saints traveled to Atlanta to send them to a 2-9 record. The Saints are now 9-2 winning 17-13
