Opening Statement:
Days before the Thanksgiving and the Holiday frenzy the weekend saw one of the Biggest Movies of this season destroy the box office. They Hunger Games Catching Fire made over $161 million in the opening week which is a November record. Mark S. Allen host of Mark at the Movies as seen on Reelzchannel, AFN, and of course CW31 the Sacramento home and Good Day Sacramento's Entertainment Guru had his special edition of the show all weekend long. Final Thoughts:
As I talked about earlier it's the holiday season and so to is the time of giving, decorating, and family trips to the in-laws or to the mall. Why not get it all done in one spot. Now- December 26, 2013 you can donate to the Salvation Army for their Annual Can Food Drive at Sunrise Mall. While there you can also see Santa for the kids or you. Admit it reporters love covering Santa's Mall Arrivals. :). Okay I went a little off course but I will soon hire a driver in today's writing to get me back. But before I get to that My58 had my favorite interior decorator Kerrie Kelly in studio to help your needs in decorating your homes for the holiday.
Fox had a GREAT Don't be that guy segment with Sabrina in ideas for parking while shopping at Arden Fair Mall and also not yelling at the folks directing traffic to get in and out of the mall not just for Black Friday but throughout the holiday season. Zohreen gave us with a bit of behind the scenes look at how many cameras and monitors are on you in studio. Big Brother is watching. Which is why she became a field reporter well that and she loves her job, and her and Good Day Sacramento talked about the can good drive I spoke of earlier. Bethany gave us all a good reminder that Saturday is Small Business Saturday and its important to support them as much as the malls and stores like Target & Wal-Mart who gave Kristin Marshall a behind the scenes look as they prepare for Black Friday err Thanksgiving Thursday. Plus the efforts of Rancho Cordova giving about 1000 meals to families in need.
Amy also painted on a palm tree canvas with a local artist.
Mark spent the day at local shops in Lodi including the one that caught my eye the most the Rusted Mic. A coffee shop with live music and movies. It was pretty cool. Remember I said I would hire a driver to get me back on course? Yeah it's not Melissa but her segments at Sonoma raceway brought heart pumping edge of the seats look at the raceway formally known as Sears Point where you can see NASCAR racing each May for the Savemart 350 including Vallejo native Jeff Gordon, Dale JR. Jimmie Johnson, and Brad Kieslowski to name a few.
It was a fun day as well as informative on Good Day Sacramento and Fox had great info as well and I love seeing Kerrie drop her knowledge like she did on My58.
Oh and Ju came back from illness to Good Day Sacramento too :)

Final Thoughts:
As I talked about earlier it's the holiday season and so to is the time of giving, decorating, and family trips to the in-laws or to the mall. Why not get it all done in one spot. Now- December 26, 2013 you can donate to the Salvation Army for their Annual Can Food Drive at Sunrise Mall. While there you can also see Santa for the kids or you. Admit it reporters love covering Santa's Mall Arrivals. :). Okay I went a little off course but I will soon hire a driver in today's writing to get me back. Mark spent the day at local shops in Lodi including the one that caught my eye the most the Rusted Mic. A coffee shop with live music and movies. It was pretty cool. Remember I said I would hire a driver to get me back on course? Yeah it's not Melissa but her segments at Sonoma raceway brought heart pumping edge of the seats look at the raceway formally known as Sears Point where you can see NASCAR racing each May for the Savemart 350 including Vallejo native Jeff Gordon, Dale JR. Jimmie Johnson, and Brad Kieslowski to name a few.
It was a fun day as well as informative on Good Day Sacramento and Fox had great info as well and I love seeing Kerrie drop her knowledge like she did on My58.
