Thor CRUSHED the box office this week with the premier of the new film Thor The Dark World and the gang at Mark at the Movies crushed their special Thor edition this weekend. Leading the charge this week a cast of who's who in Hollywood joined Mark, Anna, Big Al, and the rest of the cast. Kylie Erica Mar from Made in Hollywood joined the ensemble in studio while the creator of Geekie Awards Kristen Nedopak joined via Skype. Heather Brent one of the finest interns in Sacramento flew down to join the cast in their Hollywood studio for the show. Heather is also a contributor to Mark at the Movies behind the scenes as well as doing select interviews of a couple of movies coming up. Marvel Comic also offered up some guest for the focus group during this special edition to talk all things Thor.
Now that the introduction part is over. Mark at the Movies did an excellent job talking about Thor. I really enjoyed Kylie's & Kristen's input as well as Kristen's interview portions of the show. The group was fairly quite as far as what they talked about but the general conscience is Thor is all it's hyped up to be and based on the Sunday numbers its well on its way to a Thor 3. It also sets up the new Avengers nicely according to sources close to both films.
I have to say this about a new feature on Mark at the Movies and 2 weeks in a row they delivered on "What you Should Be Talking About" Keep it up Mark & Mark I assure you one fan (me) loves this feature.
It appears to be yet another light week ahead with only one big release The Best Man Holiday starring Morris Chestnut & Regina Hall. My guess is Thor will lead the Box office one more week because the week after Hunger Games hits theaters.
So with that said until next week... I will see you at the movies.
