Opening Statement:
#GoodDay19 Story of the Day:
As we inch ever so close to Good Day Sacramento turning 19 on Thursday, today's #GoodDay19 Flashback story comes from when California Gold host Huell Howser made a surprise visit to the Good Day studio and Mark S. Allen.

Mark would be on live shots or just in studio and he would say "That's Amazin'" like Huell did. Huell got word of these antics Mark was doing and surprised Mark live on the show in 2008. Mark and Huell would become friends and like most of us Mark was shocked of his death in January of 2013 from Prostate Cancer.

We may have lost Huell way too soon but we will always have this classic Good Day moment from 2008. Enjoy #GoodDay19

Today's Favorite Story of the day is from 14 year old Kory Gibbs & The Thundering Blues Band who totally rocked the Good Day Stage. This band this kid are amazing and with a talent like this he will soon be leaving the Good Day Stage and heading for the big stage.

Model T:
Once owned by Hubert Humphrey Cody met a local viewer who now owns his 1925 Model T. This Hand Cranked once and lifetime car was so cool and Cody got the drive it. Cody you got the Cool story of the day for sure.

Box Office:
The Box Office Number estimates are out and in a complete shocking development Megan Fox and her Mutant Ninja Turtles beat Guardians of the Galaxy at the Box office. The top 5 this week are 1. Ninja Turtles with $65,000,000 Guardians of the Galaxy took the #2 spot with $41,531,000. Into the Storm with $18,015,000 finished 3rd. The 100 Foot Journey with $11,123,000 had nice 4th place placement and finally Lucy with $9,331,000 had a 48% drop from last week to finish 5th.

Favorite Story of the Day: 2 for 1
Cotton Candy Cart:
Sure we have seen Hot Dog, Ice Cream, Fruit Smoothie carts but today on Good Day we finally got a Cotton Candy Cart. Amy was in Roseville with Bianca.

Bianca wanted a Carnival Theme for her sons birthday and she wanted a Cotton Candy Cart. No one made it and now 2 years later Zelda's Treats is going strong.

Bianca makes her own Cotton Candy with her own recipe so she knows how much sugar is in it and how many calories usually about 100 calories total.

This fun story is on of today's favorite stories of the day.

Backpack Donation:
My other favorite story of the day is a story told by Kristin today on Good Day. Kristin was with Stanford Youth Solutions who are collecting backpacks and school supplies to donate to At Risk Families. They are only 150 short to fulfil their needs so if you can help call 9163440199 or go to http://www.youthsolutions.org/

They only have until August 15 to fulfill their donations so if you can help do it NOW!!!! Please.

Red Carpet Return:
Modesto's Byers High School rolled out the red carpet for the returning students keeping this tradition alive. Principle Dan talked about it today on Good Day.

Stardust Pony Dreams:
Melissa was in Lincoln today learning all about Stardust Pony Dreams. Stardust teaches young girls how to ride, show, and care for ponies as well as gives them life skills.

Melissa even taught the girls how to ride a "Pony" from Ginuwine

Pilates:
Jason was at Purely Pilates in Sacramento where he met with an 80 year old Pilate Trainer. Don't let that age fool you Bob is in better shape than most people.

Ray of Sunshine:
I love young entrepreneurs. Today on Good Day Courtney met the creator of Reya Sunshine Design Box. Each box is designed with unique items but every box comes with a jewelry. Boxes start at $15 and go up to $90 depending on what package you decide when ordering. Seraiyah has a bright future ahead of her and I think she will do well.

Skull Challenge:
Local Trainer Dustin is taking part in the Broken Skull Challenge on CMT Network airing tonight. Dustin even had Mark doing handstands in studio.

Raw Cheesecake:
Courtney's Check this out talked about a new Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Raw Cheesecake from Earth Cafe and it was good.

Baby Buys Picnic:
Melissa was with Baby Buy Deals Blogger checking out Picnic gadgets for kids.

Signs Signs Everywhere are Signs:
Cambi was with Amber who is the owner/sign maker of City Signs. Amber makes all kinds of signs seen around town and today Cambi learned how she does it.

I love Court's Fashion Forum. Today it was back talking about the fashions seen on the Teen's Choice Awards and a few of them Passed and a few of them failed but I give Court's Fashion Forum a PASS!!!!

Today's Daily List talked about 3 ways you can trick yourself into eating less. 1 way is protein. Protein is a GREAT Source for eating, Not only can you eat it but you can drink it or add it to a soup, salad etc.
