Opening Statement:
Last night I was writing and something came to me that I thought I could share today with all of you. I am so grateful to my friends and family both personally and professionally. but throughout my life I have learned you can never take for granted what you have today because tomorrow it may all be gone. What I mean by that is we have so many things going on in our lives whether it is kids, jobs, etc but what we don't realize is the other things in life that we get so use to we don't realize the importance of other things around us. So over the next few days I encourage you to take a step back and remember what we as a whole love the most and give thanks because what we have today may not be what we have tomorrow..

Quick Thought:
The story of the morning was the slow speed chase of a big rig on the Streets of Stockton. This fully loaded truck was stolen and led police on a slow speed chase. nearly 4 hours after it started it came to a peaceful end when he parked the truck and ran into a home. Yes, this was a slow speed chase but that makes no difference. This man put several lives in danger and could have cause major injury or even death. It's raining and to stop a vehicle in the rain is hard enough but to stop a big rig is even harder especially a fully loaded one. Just be smart and stop running from police.

Today on Fox they talked about a couple of topics that caught my eye the first being the preview of Sac Fashion week. The Academic Decathalon that made me feel stupid. The Crime Alert Crab feed and Buca Di Beppo giving back with the purchase of spaghetti and meatballs through March.
Good Day Sacramento:
430/5am:
Due to BREAKING News much of the staples had to be put off. Cody had his Show and Tell and then the 5am hour only had Marianne's Daily list. The BREAKING News continued into the 6am hour as well which is a Low Speed Big Rig Chase.
6am:
The BREAKING News continued this hour only bringing us Melissa from Snooks Candies in Folsom showing us their new candies while she was doing her best impression of Lucy from I Love Lucy the Candy factory episode http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8NPzLBSBzPI Marianne's Diet Secrets will air Friday.
7am:
To start the hour right at 7am the driver stopped and got out of the truck running into a house. Chase officially came to an end when suspect ran into a house and the Good Day Sacramento cameras caught it. The hour also had Doug the Car Czar showing tips of how difficult it is to stop a car in wet conditions after the big rig chase. Melissa was getting the Aura of dogs at the SPCA that are currently up for adoptions.
8am:
With the Big Rig Chase Suspect in custody the show got back on track. It kicked off with Mark, Ken, and Marianne talking to Rock Royalty with both Alice Cooper and Tommy Lee from Motley Crue. This final tour of Motley Crue teams these 2 legends up for the first time in their histories. Doug was back with what cars are most attractive and which ones are least. The #9amtopic was introduced. Melissa was checking the aura of cats at SPCA and Mark read poetry aka lyrics of Miley Cyrus Wrecking Ball in the nude or was he???
9am:
The 9am hour had Laura and Mark guiding us through the hour with the #9amtopic... What would you like to put on part time in your life after a new website offers a Part Time Lover. Gina from ThriftTown was in studio with great ideas how to use old sweaters as leg warmers. Mark showed his interview from Last Vegas now on DVD, Gina came back for another segment on how to use old sweaters. Courtney previewed fashion week at Allure and Ken had a really good Manly Minute and being a true sports fan of a team. In the final question of the day Tina wanted to know what you would do if you had an extra hour to spare.
Final Thoughts:
The Big Rig chase today really derailed some of the show content but luckily with it ending at 7am all the shows got back on track. The only major story cut that I know of was Marianne's Diet Secrets on Good Day Sacramento that will now air Friday at 646am.
The 3 shows have really stepped up their content this month and I appreciate that. My58 will be cut starting next Friday for the duration of the Olympics but will be monitored for any story that may be of interest.
I really like the story on Fox40 of what Buca Di Beppo is doing for St. Judes and if I could eat it I would participate in it.
Good Day did a GREAT job of tracking the Big Rig chase today. I really enjoyed Doug's demo of how hard it is to stop when road is wet and the interview with Tommy Lee and Alice Cooper was pretty cool. I've seen both in concert and they put on amazing shows. I love when Melissa gets into her live shots like she did today from Snooks.
I'm excited to see what's ahead for tomorrow on Good Day Sacramento.
