Cambi was getting a preview of this Saturday's 6th Annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes where men get together for a fun way to bring attention to violence against women. Men are busting out their heels and Cambi also checked out Weave’s newest thrift store. Cambi was at Woodland Christian School visiting their Cardinal County where the students have built their own city to learn how to keep track of finances.

The Sac State Vocal Jazz Ensemble took the Good Day Stage with their Final Spring Concert Friday, May 13th 7pm. Ken was at Roseville High School learning more about Family Green Survival where the Culinary Class is making meals to give back to food banks.
Heather was at Footnotes Dance Studio where last month they won at USA Nationals in L.A and winning means they will be representing California In Florida. Heather is decorating a Cake for a 90 year old Veteran who is also a local Barber. She has enlisted the help of Baker's Boutique who is your one-stop bake shop and the premiere bakery in Stockton. Heather was in Stockton at Cal-Pine Barber Shop with Frank Chavez who turned 90 years old and has been barbering for over 65 years and is also an army veteran.
Cody had your 2 Minutes of Mayhem. Cody was with preschoolers at The Goddard School located in Folsom who along with over 430 other Goddard School locations nationwide, will take part in the 6th annual Root for Earth Fashion Show event.

Ken's Manly Minute: 5 Ways To Get Your Nutrients
As you prepare, bite, chew, and digest, you create a series of mechanical and chemical changes that affect a food’s nutritional content (i.e. the nutrients it contains) and each nutrient’s “bioavailability” (i.e. the degree to which it can be absorbed by your body). This means some nutrients are indeed best available when the foods containing them are eaten raw. But other nutrients are best available when the foods containing them are cooked, or broken down by cutting or crushing, and/or eaten alongside other foods.
