It's the final day of April and what a big show today is on Good Day Sacramento with Cody Stark Melissa and Crew full of STAR Power. Scheduled for today's show Kelly with Essential Symōne will be in to teach us about Essential Oils. Megan Moreaux will be performing at the Elk Grove Western Festival but first she is stopping by the Good Day Stage. From 9-4pm today The Sacramento Zoo is holding Star Wars Day: May the Forest Be With You You can meet your favorite Star Wars characters and learn how animal adaptations and behaviors in our galaxy relate to the creatures from the Star Wars universe through wildlife stage shows, crafts, and other activities. Ben Vereen will be at Sacramento State  University Theatre tonight to hand out awards for Sacramento Essay Awards on behalf of Ben Vereen's Wellness Through the Arts, Sacramento Competition  Tina Macuha is going sailing with Port of West Sacramento Lake Washington Sailing Club who are having their Open House today 1030-330pm. From 10-12pm today Edible Sac High and the California Council of Land Trusts  are teaming up for a volunteer garden planting day to get kids and adults outside and enjoy the space available to them. Tina talk with Jennifer Duxbury Trades of Hope which empowers women out of poverty and gives them the opportunity for a better life. We are checking out Trends-N-Treats Pet Market & Boutique in Folsom. Today at Raley Field is the 5th Annual Sacramento Region Action Math Group Baseball Curriculum Tournament. As we approach the Big Day of Giving on May 3rd 916 INK has led the effort to promote youth literacy in Sacramento by empowering youth voice today we will learn more about them. From 8-12pm today School Districts Rocklin Unified School District, Elk Grove Unified School District, and San Juan Unified School District are joining together for a Transportation Job Fair at Franklin High School (Elk Grove, California)  Did you know Cambi Brown's Mom is a Bus Driver? We'll see what it takes and what they are looking for. Are you ready for an emergency? Sunrise MarketPlace is holding a Dare to Prepare Day from 11-3pm today. As we head into May Maureen from Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores will be in to show us some Spring Crafts. ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL! Sacramento Sirens womens tackle football all-women football team’s season kicks off tonight. Abby a local teen is honoring her brother who has Autism and raising funds and awareness by painting Fingernails Blue. But needs help. We'll find out more about her GoFundme campaign. She's BACK! Neena Williams The Kitchen Curry Master is back for a visit today. Tina put on her captain’s hat and headed to the Port of West Sacramento Lake Washington Sailing Club to preview today's Open House taking place 10:30am-3:30pm. Tina was at Sacramento Charter High School for Take It Outside California! is an event designed to get children and adults outside to enjoy the outdoor spaces available to them. Edible Sac High and the California Council of Land Trusts are teaming up for a volunteer garden planting day.
Volunteer Garden Planting Day. Tina was with Jennifer Duxbury of Trades of Hope who empowers women out of poverty and gives them the opportunity for a better life. At the same time, it creates entrepreneurial opportunities for women in the United States.

Cambi was at Florin High School where Rocklin, Elk Grove, and San Juan Unified School Districts are worked together to recruit more school bus drivers. Cambi was with Broadway legend Ben Vereen who is in town to present the Sacramento Essay Awards on behalf of Wellness Through the Arts. Cambi was at The Sunrise MarketPlace in Citrus Heights who is hosting the region’s largest family friendly emergency preparedness event.

Nha was at Trends-n-Treats Pet Market & Boutique which is a locally owned-and-operated family pet business that specializes in a wide variety of premium pet nutrition products. Nha was with more than 25 local elementary schools at Raley Field that took part in a big competition for the 5th Annual Sacramento Region Action Math Baseball Curriculum Tournament. Nha was with 916 Ink who has led the effort to promote youth literacy in Sacramento by empowering youth voice.

Melissa was with Kelly Symone from Essential Symone to learn about essential oils.  Melissa was with Jo-Ann Crafting Expert Maureen Henry who showed off two spring projects that include decorative frames with Fabric and a milk jug floral arrangement.
