Wendy was with some dogs from Sacramento SPCA getting a preview of the Dog's Ugly Christmas sweater contest at Der Biergarten taking place tonight from 6-8pm as part of the 12 Days of Midtown. What better way to celebrate this special event than with COTTON CANDY! But not just any cotton candy. Today Wendy was at Vampire Penguin in Natomas making Cotton Candy Carnival. It’s their special twist on cotton candy, and it’s actually made out of shaved snow. Wendy was at Mercy McMahon Terrace to help put the finishing touches on some of those doors and show some of these very creative work that are already done before the judging begins on Dec 9th.
Dave was at Elephant Bar in Sacramento checking out how a new 3 course meal will help the Sacramento Food Bank. Dave was at Rocklin High School in the Rocklin Unified School District where Holiday planning begins in August at Rocklin High School that’s because each year a group of dedicated students volunteer their time to organize Thunder Galleria. It sounds like a shopping mall at the high school and essentially it is. Students create the “mall” in the school cafeteria, complete with themed stores, gift wrapping services, treats to eat and pictures with Santa.
Courtney had today's Hollywood Headlines. Courtney was with Jazmine and her sister shopping local with Blossom Bathhouse which is run by 2 local girls from Suisun but only takes orders and ships through the Internet. Courtney was learning more about Macy's Big Red Believe Box where now you can make sure your Christmas list gets to Santa by dropping it in the Macy’s big red letterbox! For every letter received, in store or online, Macy’s will donate $1 to Make-A-Wish, up to $1 million, to help grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. On Dec 9th it's Double Donation Day and Macy's will donate $2 for every letter dropped in the Box. Courtney was with Jim Pryor from Man About The House showing 1950’s Cereal Cookies as well as offered tips to make your cookies better.

It sounds like a shopping mall at the high school and essentially it is. This mall is not just open to anyone, though and money is no good here. The Thunder Galleria is open only to the special children in the community who may not have the means to purchase holiday gifts for their families.

Today on Good Day Dave was at Rocklin High School in the Rocklin Unified School District where Holiday planning begins in August at Rocklin High School that’s because each year a group of dedicated students volunteer their time to organize Thunder Galleria. It sounds like a shopping mall at the high school and essentially it is. Students create the “mall” in the school cafeteria, complete with themed stores, gift wrapping services, treats to eat and pictures with Santa. This mall is not just open to anyone, though and money is no good here. The Thunder Galleria is open only to the special children in the community who may not have the means to purchase holiday gifts for their families.

Today on Good Day Cody was with Volunteers from the Keaton Raphael Memorial where they and about 25 CVS employees from all over the U.S., and as far away as Hawaii! are making over 100 custom build-a-bears at Westfield mall today so they can give them away to kids with cancer and their siblings, this evening at a special holiday dinner!
