Wendy was at The Sacramento SPCA’s Adoptable Goods Store where you can find your sweater and great last minute gifts for friends and family, all while helping the Sacramento SPCA animals. Wendy was at Boys & Girls Club of Greater Sacramento who have teamed with Unitedhealthcare to try out the NEW Hasbro NERF Energy Game Kit that uses a wrist-worn activity tracker, a Nerf soccer ball, and the game to help kids get active. Wendy was with Two local students as they helped others by collecting socks to donate to families in need! But they also put together a small sock competition to promote their cause and Wendy was there to judge.
Melissa was at Kaufman and Clark Plastic Surgery in Folsom learning how the popular FDA dermal fillers will diminish those pesky fine lines and wrinkles. Melissa was with at Choice Charter as the students and teachers compete in obstacles and games with the received donations!
Thrift Town gave Julissa some great gift ideas that won’t break the bank. if you have a holiday party coming up? Julissa found out how to look fabulous…without spending a fortune. Julissa was with Debbi Kennedy from Ditch The Drive Thru Rice Krispie Treat Pops.
Courtney was getting a sneak peek “behind the curtain” of one of their favorite Christmas stories minutes before Sac Ballet does a live performance for throngs of school children.

Bethany was learning more about Back to the Roots which was founded in 2009 by then-college seniors Alejandro Velez and Nikhil Arora after discovering how to grow gourmet mushrooms on recycled coffee grounds.
Marianne was with Sacramento SPCA for this week's Pet of the Week. This week we met Sissy 9 year old cat.
Cody had Money to burn. Cody and Courtney were with Things Remembered who has a way to almost make sure your gift does not fall victim to the re-gifting bug.

Wendy: Getting Kids To Exercise
Today on Good Day Wendy was at Boys & Girls Club of Greater Sacramento who have teamed with Unitedhealthcare to try out the NEW Hasbro NERF Energy Game Kit that uses a wrist-worn activity tracker, a Nerf soccer ball, and the game to help kids get active. In order to play the game, children have to be active and earn “energy points” that are tracked by the band. These points turn into screen time to play the game. It’s an “exergame” which studies have shown help get kids active and potentially reduce childhood obesity.

In addition this year Cambi had to go up the Escalator and for each ride Ikea donated 1 toy to UC Davis and for that portion of the process Cambi went up for a total of 500

Wendy: Getting Kids To Exercise
Today on Good Day Wendy was at Boys & Girls Club of Greater Sacramento who have teamed with Unitedhealthcare to try out the NEW Hasbro NERF Energy Game Kit that uses a wrist-worn activity tracker, a Nerf soccer ball, and the game to help kids get active. In order to play the game, children have to be active and earn “energy points” that are tracked by the band. These points turn into screen time to play the game. It’s an “exergame” which studies have shown help get kids active and potentially reduce childhood obesity.
