Gone Girl Squeaks out Win / @Markatthemovies Episode 262 Highlights:
Week of 10/4/2016 - 10/5/2014
Box Office Report:
WOAH!!! We have almost a tie at the top spot at the Box Office. With the official numbers not released until Monday Gone Girl squeaks out a win over Annabelle. This is the closest I've seen 2 movies finish 1-2 since the start of my recap of Mark at the Movies and the Box Office Winners.
As I said these numbers are not official until Monday but taking the top spot was Gone Girl with an estimated $38,000,000 followed by Annabelle with $37,200,000 coming in at number 2. Falling 2 spots to #3 The Equalizer with $19,000,000. Coming in at the 4th spot was Box Trolls at $12,425,000 and continuing their fall to the 5th spot The Maze Runner with $12,000,000.
Mark at the Movies opened the show announcing it was the 5th Anniversary since the beginning. Here is what took place this week on Mark at the Movies Episode 262 with Mark, Rachel, Dionna, Alexa, Heather, Brian, and filling in for Big Al who was on assignment, Mike.....

This weekend marks the 5th year anniversary of Show #1 of Mark at the Movies. So much has changed over the years from Mark S. Allen and Ashley Williams first aired on CW31. Mark can now be seen in more homes, and Military Bases than his own wife and kids see him with the contract from Reelzchannel, AFN, and CW/CBS Television Networks. Congratulations Mark you may have only won 3 Emmy's but #4 is on it's way.
Movies This Week:
This weeks New Movies talked about on Mark at the Movies with Mark, Rachal, Brian, Dionna, Heather, and Alexa were The Good Lie and everyone enjoyed this and Mark feels like it will get some Oscar Buzz. This movie stars Reese Witherspoon and Sarah Baker and Big Al talked with both actresses.
The next movie talked about was Annabelle. Rachel shared the doll (Annabelle) was originally a Raggedy Anne Doll. They all also said the movie creeped them out which means it did it's job.
The final new movie was of course Gone Girl. Gone Girl is based of a top selling novel and stars Ben Affleck, Tyler Perry, Neil Patrick Harris and more. This movie might have gotten an extra push with the showing of "Little Ben" as Dionna pointed us the Full Frontal was nice. Regardless of that everyone Liked this movie as well.
The Equalizer was the big winner at the Box Office last week and this week in Retro Reel Review we met a new actress big overseas and soon to make her US debut. Charina Sirisinha really enjoyed the movie. and she did a really good job talking about it. Of course for more on her see the Guest Section below for all her Social Media.
New To DVD this week is Chef and Transformers 4 and one of my all time favorites Cassidy Gard sat down with the stars including Mark Wahlberg and Kelsey Grammer.
It has been a GREAT 5 years of watching Mark at the Movies and I hope he can go at least another 5. Congratulations to all of you at Mark at the Movies on coming into our homes each week and talking about movies the way we talk about movies with our friends.
