All Aboard the Cody Train.... Today in the News Saturday Edition 10/18/2014:
Favorite / Story of the Day: Never A Dull Moment:
One thing I like about Good Day Weekend is that it offers a wide variety of topics to talk about and because of this it sometimes can be difficult to pick just one or two topics that stand out so today I'm going to pick a few including those that are the weekend standouts.
Today in the 7am hour Tina was in Folsom for the Half Marathon, while Lori was at Whole Foods in Folsom talking about Beer oh and yeah more Beer for the Whole Lotta Brews event taking place tonight and while Tina was at the Marathon the Mayor pointed that you cannot come to Folsom and be bored with all they having going on. I thought that was a great line and she's right with all that is going on today in Folsom you cannot be bored.
In the 8am hour Nina launched a new segment called Nina's Music Minute. This was very popular with the fans of Good Day, Nina and music lovers. Nina takes 1 minute to give all us music news of the week. However only one disappointment with this segment is no one grabbed the video for the link so I can't show you at this time how it went. I do apologize. I am sure that with it being so popular it will be back next week and hope that if the video doesn't get posted from today it does next week or next time. The other cool segment from this hour is Cambi met Journey Coffee. Journey Coffee was first introduced to us last year when Julissa did a ride along on their Coffee/Food Truck now today Journey is opening a new store in Vacaville plus they will continue with the truck.
In the 9am hour today if you love Sons of Anarchy then you love Actress Kristen Renton who is appearing today and tomorrow at Sacramento Toy, Comic Book Anime Show at Scottish Rite Temple. The other cool story from Elk Grove is Moo Moo Tea and Coffee is now open and Lori was there checking it out.
In the final hour today Fright Planet was in studio showing Make up tips and DIY Halloween Costumes. They even provided today's picture. Sac State Homecoming is tonight and Tina who loves a parade went to check out the Golf Cart Parade and other activities. I word of note if you want to get a good job at Good Day go to Sac State. They have a ton of current and former students working there. The season just ended by that doesn't stop Sac Republic from holding open tryouts today and tomorrow. Plus if you love Comic books and Anime Cody was with Dan Brereton who is also appearing at Sac Con Toy Show signing autographs.
Of Course Good Day Weekend Saturday would not be complete without the favorites so Cody Slapped us with Science while Melissa went into the Coupon Corner. By the way if you or anyone you know can make a jingle for Slap you with Science let me know, I have an idea.

They just won the Championship but it's already time to think about next year and today and tomorrow Sac Republic FC is holding Open Tryouts and Lori was there finding out what it takes to join this Championship Team.
