Gone Girl Overrules The Judge / @Markatthemovies Episode 263 Highlights:

Week of 10/11/2014 - 10/12/2014

Box Office Report:
The Box Office Mojo is currently having some issues first disappearing Friday and now at time of writing not loading at all just a white screen I had to turn to the Box Office Mojo Twitter page to find the results of the Box Office and the results for Annabelle and The Judge are not pretty.
https://twitter.com/boxofficemojo/status/521335793579991041

This week Gone Girl with $26.8 million remains at the Top Spot while Dracula Untold with $23.5 million takes over the #2 spot. Alexander didn't have a terrible horrible day afterall with a nice 3rd place finish with $19.1 million. Dropping to #4 from the second spot last week Annabelle with $16.4 million. Having a horrible showing at the 5th spot The Judge $13.3 million. Is it me or should Robert Downey Jr. stick to Iron Man? It appears the audience has sided with Mike Mechanick in his rant this week on Mark at the Movies and for more on that.....

Final Thoughts:kn
In one of the BEST Shows thus far this year Mark, Rachel, Anna, Brian, Dionna, Alexa delivered a solid performance throughout the show. Brian providing the comic relieve with his quick witted jokes to Rachel, Dionna, Anna, and Alexa bringing the knowledge of the back stories to the movie like who was to be cast or why a shot was done a certain way. Whatever the case may be this week should the girls came to play and drop knowledge.

One thing I have always liked about Anna, Rachel, and Heather is they do their homework, I am learning that Dionna and Alexa do as well.

For those who have been a fan of Mark at the Movies for as long or as close to as long as me will remember Ashley Williams when she was the Co-host to the show for several years and it was so GREAT seeing her back despite it being for Retro Reel Review when she talked about Gone Girl. We also learned the Rosamund Pike is getting Oscar Buzz for her performance in the movie

Movies talked about this week started off with Alexander and the Terrible Horrible no good very bad day. Everyone this week thought it made for a good family movie. Plus the interviews Mark conducted with Steve Carell and Jennifer Garner not only had me laughing but learning a bit about the 2 in past life.

The next movie talked about was The Judge. Everyone like the movie well everyone but Mike Mechanick who provided a classic rant  about the film and the Oscar Buzz around it.

New on DVD this week A Million Ways To Die in the West. This a good movie for rental I was not a fan of it and wish I waited for the rental so it didn't cost so much and I could've stopped it. The final movie on DVD is Edge of Tomorrow. This was still one of the funniest stunts Mark got to take part in.

One other bit of news to cover before we say Goodbye until next week was Short-E from KSFM 102.5 filled in as Announcer this week. Short-E did pretty well and if he sticks around in some capacity I think he will fit in nicely with the group.

With That I Will See You at the Movies...
