Today's opening is a special opening for those who may not have heard the announcement yesterday. Former Good Day Cast Members and current reporters/anchors on CBS13 Nick Janes and Christina Anderson announced their engagement both on air and online.
Nick and Christina have been dating for awhile now and are very good together. I wish them nothing but the best in love, health and happiness for Nick and Christina. I just hope the Bears and 49er's never play in the NFC Championship game because then the house will be divided but they both love each other very much and I am extremely happy for both of them.
They are the couple of CBS13 for sure. For those who remember Christina on Good Day this will bring back memories #HiFriends :)

Favorite Story of the Day: Guns:
I hate this story but it's a part of the day so I want to talk about it. Over the weekend a 7 year old boy was hit by bullet fragments after a make shift shooting range was set up by his dad so he could shoot a gun. Last week we heard the story of the 9 year old who was at a gun Range in Arizona and accidentially shot and killed the instructor when she couldn't handle the gun properly.
Today's #9amtopic was how young is too young when it comes to guns and Cambi was in Linden learning about a class coming up this Thursday for women. and using a flashlight when holding gun for shooting in the dark. The class is a very popular trend amongst women and for $15 for the day you can take the class too as long as you are a woman on Thursday.
My feelings on guns is this. I HATE THEM! I have no problem with responsible people having them and using them for protection, I have no problem with police and military using them for their jobs but I do have issue with police using them in the wrong way (Ferguson, MS) No one unarmed should be shot 6 times and in the head. In the military if you are being shot at shoot back but I do not want them in my house. I have had some pretty bad experiences with guns in my life and they scare me.
My dad took my brother and I shooting when I was only 7 and nowadays I feel like that age is too young. We have kids in first grade taking them to school that is wrong. I think a proper age to learn about guns is around 12-13 years old depending on the mindset of the child. I think parents need to be more responsible with guns in the home and make sure the kids never see them or know where they are kept until they are old enough.
This is not really my favorite story of the day but it's the story of the day.

Worlds Best Comics in Sacramento was the subject of today's Mom and Pop Feature. David Downey, owner showed Jason around while Jason was in Star Wars Onesies and then for the commercial Jason was dressed as Batman.

Amy was in Loomis with Roots Reclaim who will be holding an art class showing how to do String Art. Amy made string art of California.

App of the Week was back and today Julissa showed the App that can make your dog talk well it's you talking but it's kind of cool.

Tina and Dave cruised around Sac International with a rep getting the scoop on the best airport parking for your travel needs.

Favorite Story of the Day: Guns:
I hate this story but it's a part of the day so I want to talk about it. Over the weekend a 7 year old boy was hit by bullet fragments after a make shift shooting range was set up by his dad so he could shoot a gun. Last week we heard the story of the 9 year old who was at a gun Range in Arizona and accidentially shot and killed the instructor when she couldn't handle the gun properly.
Today's #9amtopic was how young is too young when it comes to guns and Cambi was in Linden learning about a class coming up this Thursday for women. and using a flashlight when holding gun for shooting in the dark. The class is a very popular trend amongst women and for $15 for the day you can take the class too as long as you are a woman on Thursday.
My feelings on guns is this. I HATE THEM! I have no problem with responsible people having them and using them for protection, I have no problem with police and military using them for their jobs but I do have issue with police using them in the wrong way (Ferguson, MS) No one unarmed should be shot 6 times and in the head. In the military if you are being shot at shoot back but I do not want them in my house. I have had some pretty bad experiences with guns in my life and they scare me.
My dad took my brother and I shooting when I was only 7 and nowadays I feel like that age is too young. We have kids in first grade taking them to school that is wrong. I think a proper age to learn about guns is around 12-13 years old depending on the mindset of the child. I think parents need to be more responsible with guns in the home and make sure the kids never see them or know where they are kept until they are old enough.
This is not really my favorite story of the day but it's the story of the day.

Worlds Best Comics in Sacramento was the subject of today's Mom and Pop Feature. David Downey, owner showed Jason around while Jason was in Star Wars Onesies and then for the commercial Jason was dressed as Batman.

Amy was in Loomis with Roots Reclaim who will be holding an art class showing how to do String Art. Amy made string art of California.

App of the Week was back and today Julissa showed the App that can make your dog talk well it's you talking but it's kind of cool.
