Favorite Story / Story of the Day: Winner / Kickback:
Today's Favorite Story of the day is a 2 for 1. The first part was not covered on Good Day today but it does have to do with Mark S. Allen from Good Day.



For weeks I have begged, pleaded and prayed for everyone to vote for the Good Day Players for the Best of from Sacramento News and Review. Last night it was revealed that Mark S. Allen was everyones favorite News Media Personality. Yes Mark beat out KCRA's Edie Lambert and News 10's Dale Schornack. This is a true honor for Mark and in my opinion one that is well deserved for this 3 time Emmy Winner. Congratulations my friend. Maybe Next year we can have Co Winners with Mark and Cody.



The other favorite story of the day is the return of High School Kickback with Julissa. Today Julissa was at Whitney High School before their game tonight. They also treated us to an impressive dance contest as well as an eating contest. These kids today did a wonderful job showing their school spirit. THEY WERE VERY VERY LOUD!!!

1)THE BLUE BLAZER
Now I’m not talking about your dad’s baggy blazer with big gold buttons. I’m talking modern, slim, and trim. Whether you want to look GQ or edgy, the blue blazer will work for pretty much any season and any occasion. First date? Throw it on with some dark denim and an oxford shirt and you’re set. Business meeting? Mix it with dark brown wool pants and a knit shirt and you’ll stand out from all the others in their plain suits.

 
2)THE DENIM JACKET
That’s right, I said the denim jacket. Please don’t go running to your garage to pull out that acid washed denim jacket you rocked in the 80’s. I’m talking a dark wash jacket that hugs you like a wetsuit. Think more Ryan Gosling in the movie Drive and less Zack Morris from Saved By The Bell.

 
3)PAIR OF JEANS

Without going into proper fit for each body type, just think waist-high jeans and a slim cut. And if you don’t own a lot of jeans, just go with dark denim and you’ll be ok.

This is the utility knife of shirts. Dressed up, dressed down, or even with some shorts this will be your go to shirt for any occasion.

 
5)OXFORD SHOES
Like the Oxford shirt, this will be your go-to shoe. Brown unlike black isn't as formal so it can be worn year round. You can pair these with some chinos, denim, or even a suit. All these items are some essentials that will stay with you for years to come. Spend a little on quality and take good care of them and you’ll have a classic wardrobe that will withstand the test of time. Mix and match them with any other items and you’re on your way to dressing
