Favorite Story / Story of the Day:
In today's Edition of Today in the News we had laughs, decorations, Auto Repair Scamming and rain. For more on those and all of today's stories this is Stormy Weather Fun Edition of Today in the News...



The much needed rain has returned to the area as both Cody and Laura predicted last week for today. With Tina is studio with Courtney off Lori was in Rover with Dave as Lori on the Loose was born covering all over the valley. Cambi was in the 209 with all the Storm Beat while Sean had the 916 area covered Kristin had the 707 area covered all today on Good Day. The rain should continue through Friday as Julissa and Laura had in their weather updates. Tina reminded us all to drive safely out there on the wet roads and do not Hydroplane. 
    


The rain, weather and accidents were not all that was talked about today on the show. Nope the Good Day Fun continued with...

Today on Good Day Tina was with a very special young girl who has been given the honor of turning the Capitol Christmas Tree tonight. Kimmie Metcalf was born 3 months early and has special needs but she loves to read and do lots of fun things despite all her medical conditions she has and battles through each day. Recently on Good Day Mark S. Allen introduced us to a local man Brandon Haefele who donated 1000 turkeys to families in need. Now Brandon and his friend have a new challenge. This message is from the event organizer that needs our help in this time of giving. For those of you who know Amber Coppedge, you know that she is one of the most selfless, generous people on the planet. You know that she will do anything to help anybody at anytime. She volunteers her time to help raise money & awareness for many different causes, serves food to the homeless, donates her time to coach soccer and volunteers for many different committees within the Sacramento Association of Realtors. She is a hardworking, driven mother of two beautiful children ages 14 & 11. She is spunky and sassy and gives 100% in anything and everything that she does. 


Well friends, it is now our turn to help Amber. 


Some of you may know that Amber has been battling cancer for over 2 years. She was diagnosed with Ovarian cancer in 2012 at the young age of 31, and began treatment immediately. At the time, she did not have health insurance and was forced to pay out of pocket for her medical expenses. Amber has paid  hundreds of thousands of dollars since being diagnosed, for her cancer related expenses. Recently, she found out she will need immediate surgery to remove masses that the doctors have located. She will soon thereafter begin another round of chemotherapy and radiation treatment. Unfortunately, her health insurance will not cover the majority of these expenses, and she will be faced with astronomical debt. 


We are asking for donations for Amber and her family, to help cover medical and living expenses while she is unable to work.
