Favorite Story / Story of the Day:
We reached it to Friday and today will be fun but it's also a good reminder that we are in the season of giving and many organizations depend on us not only this time of year but throughout however some we hear more from now. Organizations like United Way, Salvation Army etc. Today on Good Day we saw this plus Comedian Jo Koy, Melissa vs Maloney Skeet Shooting, dancing into the weekend and so much more. Breakfast for Charity
Today on Good Day with Flavio from SAP was at The Sacramento Optimist Club who cooked breakfastfor the Wellspring Women’s Center to coincide with the center’s 12 Days of Christmas!!  Volunteers were up early to serve breakfast at 7am sharp. The WellSpring Women's Organization cook breakfast for 200 women and children each day at the Center and have been for 28 years and today the Optimist Club is doing it for them. One interesting side note about the Club. Flavio is the President of the Club

Recently on Good Day Mark S. Allen introduced us to a local man Brandon Haefele who donated 1000 turkeys to families in need. Now Brandon and his friend have a new challenge. This message is from the event organizer that needs our help in this time of giving. If you can help please do if you can't share this message, Retweet this message or just pass onto a friend that you think could and lets help Amber. 


For those of you who know Amber Coppedge, you know that she is one of the most selfless, generous people on the planet. You know that she will do anything to help anybody at anytime. She volunteers her time to help raise money & awareness for many different causes, serves food to the homeless, donates her time to coach soccer and volunteers for many different committees within the Sacramento Association of Realtors. She is a hardworking, driven mother of two beautiful children ages 14 & 11. She is spunky and sassy and gives 100% in anything and everything that she does. 


Well friends, it is now our turn to help Amber. 


Some of you may know that Amber has been battling cancer for over 2 years. She was diagnosed with Ovarian cancer in 2012 at the young age of 31, and began treatment immediately. At the time, she did not have health insurance and was forced to pay out of pocket for her medical expenses. Amber has paid hundreds of thousands of dollars since being diagnosed, for her cancer related expenses. Recently, she found out she will need immediate surgery to remove masses that the doctors have located. She will soon thereafter begin another round of chemotherapy and radiation treatment. Unfortunately, her health insurance will not cover the majority of these expenses, and she will be faced with astronomical debt. 


We are asking for donations for Amber and her family, to help cover medical and living expenses while she is unable to work.

One in 68 kids are diagnosed with autism every year.  There is no cure, but that hasn't stopped one momfrom coming pretty darned close!!  Today on Good Day Marianne met with the creator of the Gemiini Systems, Laura Kasbar and Doctor Heather O'Shea. Gemiini is a web-based speech therapy program that works like “video flash cards.”
