Cody the Bear, Mark Surprises, Melissa Wins... Today in the News 5/7/2015



Today's Recap:
Cody's back, Melissa's back, Rain and snow are back for a little while at least today and Cody is dressed like a  bear to go see Carl the Bear Puncher. Melissa is taking on Maloney in a Mechanical Bull riding challenge. My Sister's House is having a special event. East Sacramento is having a Garden Tour. Mark has a BIG Surprise.  Gina is back with another GREAT DIY in today's May 7th edition of Cody the Bear, Mark Surprises, Melissa Wins... Today in the News...



Kicking things off do you remember Gino Frattaroli? He was the kid who was born with half of heart but a heart of gold? His birthday was Valentine's Day and he celebrated it with his own blood drive. Mark met him prior to and promised to take him to Avengers Age of Ultron. Today Mark delivers not only taking him to the movie but getting his own private screening at IMAX Theatre. Mark wasn't done with just the movie because he also promised him a breakfast so Tony Park of Rivers City Edge came through to provide that. This is such a heartwarming story and I am so glad to be able to see Mark fulfill his promise he made back in February. These type of stories that Mark does are the stories I would like everyone to remember because Yes Gino has a Heart of Gold but so does Mark so the two make for a great team. 



The New Mel Vs Maloney Challenge is set for today. This time they ride the Mechanical Bull but first let the Smack talk begin.

Once the smack talk was over it was time to get onto the competition. But before anyone could get on the Bull the GREATEST Producer Tessa had to show how it was done. For the first time ever she got on the Bull and took it for a ride. 
 



Benefiting a local schools art this weekend is the 17th Annual East Sacramento Garden Tour. Today Alexis gave a preview of a couple of the gardens. Alexis was checking out a High School Design build where 13 High Schools team up to build sheds for competition and charity. 



When Mark wasn't in the movie with Gino he was talking to the director of My Sister's House about the 14th Anniversary Gala. My Sister's House help women of domestic violence. 



Marianne was getting a preview of the Rocklin Hacker Lab taking place tonight



Tina had the food portion of the show covered first previewing the May Grub Run with McDonald's but then also Max's was in the kitchen. Many remember the Arden and Roseville locations that are now gone but they are still operating in Auburn. 



Cody today dressed like a bear to go meet Carl Moore who is becoming famous by punching a real bear that tried to attach his dog. Carl has a very interesting story and Cody finds out all about it. Cody said Carl has many layers like an onion and he wasn't kidding. Carl was not only a bear puncher but he has some remarkable history to go along with his 70+ years of life. His workout routine was shocking. 



Every week I say it and every week Gina delivers. Today she showed how to make a Wine Rack with an old Dresser. 



WOW! How do you end a show like today? It's difficult but here's what I know. Melissa and Jason may have had the best challenge in the 12 challenges. Cody meeting Carl the Bear Puncher was far more entertaining than what was advertized. Mark surprising our friend Gino was heartwarming and very special. Then you take one of the better sounding tribute bands Super Huey and put them on the Good Day stage and you got yourself quite the show not to mention all the other stories covered today.
