For years growing up Ann B Davis was everyone's favorite Housekeeper on the Brady Bunch. (Alice) Ann fell in her bathtub and never recovered. At the age of 88 God called her home because he apparently needed a Housekeeper who could do everything including riding a donkey down the Grand Canyon episode. Her Love interest was and will always remain Sam the Butcher. So Long Alice you will be missed.
In somewhat a surprise we have yet another new Box Office winner this week. Maleficent Struck down X-Men Days of Future Past from the top spot. I am only surprised at this because I thought X-Men would have the staying power for at least another week with Maleficent taking the #2 but that is not the case. With an estimated $70,000,000 is number 1 followed by X-Men with an estimated $32,600,000 Seth MacFarlane could rename his movie 1 Million Ways to Die at the Box Office with his poor showing in the #3 spot. Godzilla falls to #4 and Blended slips 2 spots to round out the top 5. Look for Edge of Tomorrow to take the Top Spot Next week because this is already getting a positive vibe.

Ingredients For salmon:
o 2-3 salmon fillet, skin on, trimmed, bone removed
o ½ cup kosher salt
o ½ cup brown sugar
o 1tbsp whole fennel seeds
o 1tbsp juniper berries
o 1tbsp cracked peppercorn
o 1pack of dill
o Zest of 1 lemon
o 6oz arugula
o Pumpernickel or other dark bread
For mustard sauce
o 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
o 1 teaspoon ground dry mustard
o 3 tablespoons sugar
o 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
o 1/3 cup olive oil
o 3 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
Method:
Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl. Line a shallow bowl or pan with aluminum foil and place the half of the marinade in the bottom of the bowl, and place the fish on top and cover with the rest of the marinade. Tightly pack the fish with the foil and put some heavy object on top such as a can. Let it marinate for 96 hours turning the fish every day and leave it in the marinade. Remove the fish from the pan and place in the cutting board and slice the fish with a sharp thin knife, similar to smoked salmon. Place it on a large plate. Combine the mustards, sugar, and vinegar in a small bowl. Slowly whisk in the oil and stir in the chopped dill. Serve with the gravlax and garnish with the arugula and the pumpernickel bread. Keep it in the refrigerator for at least a week.(72 hours)

Ken is still on vacation so Marianne ran the Show and Tell talking about cats in famous paintings. Courtney shared that she went to the Sno Cone Window over the weekend. I had no idea we had a Sno Cone Window. The 5am Club Member was introduced. Today's show us yours was to be dogs in water but changed overnight to memories of Ann B Davis aka Alice. Mark had News of the Weird where he talked about the Bear in the hammock. Marianne's Daily list was June deals. Today's Question of the Day was One of your favorite Retro TV shows. The crew today Amy - Weather. Courtney - Traffic. Mark - Desk (however left for a live shot at the end of the hour) Marianne - News.
6am:
Melissa was at the Putah Creek Winery in Davis playing guess that wine. This hour they guessed white wines. Next hour reds. Mark was checking out a local pup who can hold his breath underwater. Marianne's Daily Joe talked about a kid drawing on his dads passport. Oh no he didn't.
7am:
The diving dog had a TV fail however coming out of a commercial break the dog did get the bone in the water without the clock. Marianne talked to an Allergy Doctor expert. Melissa talked Red Wines from Putah Winery. Marianne and Julissa talked with 2 local Stockton men who are nearing the end of their Kickstarter campaign to start a Stockton Super Hero Cartoon. Show us your started showing Dogs in water.
8am:
The diving dog performed after a rough 7am start. Marianne tried 2 new Jamba Juice drinks, Carrot and Ginger. Amy was with Auburn Amy who showed off her latest ideas for your DIY outside decorations. Court's Tunes was played. A man in South Korea had his passport ruined by his kid who drew all over it and cannot get home. Today's #9amtopic is A time when you got stranded.
9am:
Courtney and Julissa guided us through the 9am hour. In addition to the #9amtopic Julissa had Trending Topics that included Elephant Selfies, Serena Williams. Courtney talked to the chef of The Meritage Resort for a salmon recipe. Melissa was learning how to reuse wine bottles from Cork it Again in Davis. Darius Thomas joined to talk about his football camp this weekend. Amy was with Amy checking out more DIY decorations. Today's final question was I like to reuse?
Final Thoughts:
In a somewhat slow day it seems I found it fun that Good Day remembered Alice (Ann B Davis) but I will have more on that later.
Wine:
Today Melissa was doing all the wining. She started the day at Putah Winery testing the wine knowledge of Marianne and Amy. I need to give the white wine challenge to Marianne Wo got 3 of 3 correct to Amy's 2 of 3. Then it was time to talk red wine and what to pair with. After Melissa got done with her Putah Wine she headed to Cork it again. This winery also in Davis will give you a dollar a bottle off for every bottle of theirs you bring back and refill and of course re cork it for you. I found this to be a great idea because it reuses the bottle so it helps in recycling.
Diving Dog:
Today a local Sacramento man showcased his dog who dives in the pool to retrieve his ball and/or bone. While the dog is retrieving its item he holds his breath to go to the bottom of the pool. The dog swims very well but the first tries that took place in the 7am hour seemed like the ultimate TV FAIL but in the 8 the dog dived with no apparent issues.
Remembering Alice:
I found it to be a nice tribute today on Good Day Sacramento that they honored Alice aka Ann B Davis. Showing old clips of the Brady Bunch brought back memories including the scene from when Bobby and Cindy planned to swim with nudist. I totally forgot about that episode.
Auburn Amy:
We met Auburn Amy a few months back who takes old furniture and makes it new again. Today she was back with Amy with her outside DIY decorations.
Courtney in the 9:
As you know from last week I reported Laura is on the CBS13 evening newscasts until mid June so the 9am hour would be a mix match with Julissa. Today it was Courtney's turn. Courtney has sat at the desk in the past but I was very happy to see her there today. Courtney is one of the nicest people you could ever meet. I hope she does it tomorrow too.
Good Day Sacramento Nutshell:
As always Good Day has a large variety of topics. Today was no different because in the 5am hour The #Questionoftheday the topic was what is your favorite retro TV show. Mark said my favorite cartoon Hong Kung Phoohie. In the 9am hour Julissa brought back trending topics that included a elephant selfie and Serena Williams crashing a wedding in a bathing suit.
It seemed like a slow day but it was as always entertaining. I can't wait to see what tomorrow brings so check back for a full recap on Good Day Sacramento and Fox40.

Tightly pack the fish with the foil and put some heavy object on top such as a can. Let it marinate for 96 hours turning the fish every day and leave it in the marinade. Remove the fish from the pan and place in the cutting board and slice the fish with a sharp thin knife, similar to smoked salmon. Place it on a large plate. Combine the mustards, sugar, and vinegar in a small bowl. Slowly whisk in the oil and stir in the chopped dill. Serve with the gravlax and garnish with the arugula and the pumpernickel bread. Keep it in the refrigerator for at least a week.(72 hours)

Ken is still on vacation so Marianne ran the Show and Tell talking about cats in famous paintings. Courtney shared that she went to the Sno Cone Window over the weekend. I had no idea we had a Sno Cone Window. The 5am Club Member was introduced. Today's show us yours was to be dogs in water but changed overnight to memories of Ann B Davis aka Alice. Mark had News of the Weird where he talked about the Bear in the hammock. Marianne's Daily list was June deals. Today's Question of the Day was One of your favorite Retro TV shows. The crew today Amy - Weather. Courtney - Traffic. Mark - Desk (however left for a live shot at the end of the hour) Marianne - News.
6am:
Melissa was at the Putah Creek Winery in Davis playing guess that wine. This hour they guessed white wines. Next hour reds. Mark was checking out a local pup who can hold his breath underwater. Marianne's Daily Joe talked about a kid drawing on his dads passport. Oh no he didn't.
7am:
The diving dog had a TV fail however coming out of a commercial break the dog did get the bone in the water without the clock. Marianne talked to an Allergy Doctor expert. Melissa talked Red Wines from Putah Winery. Marianne and Julissa talked with 2 local Stockton men who are nearing the end of their Kickstarter campaign to start a Stockton Super Hero Cartoon. Show us your started showing Dogs in water.
8am:
The diving dog performed after a rough 7am start. Marianne tried 2 new Jamba Juice drinks, Carrot and Ginger. Amy was with Auburn Amy who showed off her latest ideas for your DIY outside decorations. Court's Tunes was played. A man in South Korea had his passport ruined by his kid who drew all over it and cannot get home. Today's #9amtopic is A time when you got stranded.
9am:
Courtney and Julissa guided us through the 9am hour. In addition to the #9amtopic Julissa had Trending Topics that included Elephant Selfies, Serena Williams. Courtney talked to the chef of The Meritage Resort for a salmon recipe. Melissa was learning how to reuse wine bottles from Cork it Again in Davis. Darius Thomas joined to talk about his football camp this weekend. Amy was with Amy checking out more DIY decorations. Today's final question was I like to reuse?
Final Thoughts:
In a somewhat slow day it seems I found it fun that Good Day remembered Alice (Ann B Davis) but I will have more on that later.
Wine:
Today Melissa was doing all the wining. She started the day at Putah Winery testing the wine knowledge of Marianne and Amy. I need to give the white wine challenge to Marianne Wo got 3 of 3 correct to Amy's 2 of 3. Then it was time to talk red wine and what to pair with. After Melissa got done with her Putah Wine she headed to Cork it again. This winery also in Davis will give you a dollar a bottle off for every bottle of theirs you bring back and refill and of course re cork it for you. I found this to be a great idea because it reuses the bottle so it helps in recycling.
Diving Dog:
Today a local Sacramento man showcased his dog who dives in the pool to retrieve his ball and/or bone. While the dog is retrieving its item he holds his breath to go to the bottom of the pool. The dog swims very well but the first tries that took place in the 7am hour seemed like the ultimate TV FAIL but in the 8 the dog dived with no apparent issues.
Remembering Alice:
I found it to be a nice tribute today on Good Day Sacramento that they honored Alice aka Ann B Davis. Showing old clips of the Brady Bunch brought back memories including the scene from when Bobby and Cindy planned to swim with nudist. I totally forgot about that episode.
Auburn Amy:
We met Auburn Amy a few months back who takes old furniture and makes it new again. Today she was back with Amy with her outside DIY decorations.
Courtney in the 9:
As you know from last week I reported Laura is on the CBS13 evening newscasts until mid June so the 9am hour would be a mix match with Julissa. Today it was Courtney's turn. Courtney has sat at the desk in the past but I was very happy to see her there today. Courtney is one of the nicest people you could ever meet. I hope she does it tomorrow too.
Good Day Sacramento Nutshell:
As always Good Day has a large variety of topics. Today was no different because in the 5am hour The #Questionoftheday the topic was what is your favorite retro TV show. Mark said my favorite cartoon Hong Kung Phoohie. In the 9am hour Julissa brought back trending topics that included a elephant selfie and Serena Williams crashing a wedding in a bathing suit.
It seemed like a slow day but it was as always entertaining. I can't wait to see what tomorrow brings so check back for a full recap on Good Day Sacramento and Fox40.
