Opening Statement:
By now you know the news California Chrome was not able to complete the Triple Crown run. But that is okay. Because he may not have been able to get the Triple Crown he won the hearts of all of us. However the loss is not what is being talked about but what owner Steve Coburn said following the race.

While I agree with what Steve said I feel like the timing was bad, However with that said if you have a camera and a mic in your face with a national audience use it how you feel fit. But know that what you say afterwards will be analysed and right now National Media is talking about what Steve said and not what California Chrome accomplished leading up to the race. SI Peter King said "If you feel the rules are wrong say something before the race not after you lose" (Quote may not be exact but point is made) But for me I think what California Chrome did was remarkable because for 3 races I cared and so did a lot of others He now has fans all over.

Welcome to Sunday. Leading off Nina was at the Kaiser Womens Walk Run benefitting WEAVE at the State Capital. Cambi was in Elk Grove checking out a new coffee spot. Grace Coffee opened Tuesday and 10% of the profits go toward Sex Trafficking awareness. Ken gave a recap of Belmont from the airport. Eleanor had her gossip including Regis getting a ride from a stranger. Today's Show us yours was cry face and the #GDSJustCurious topic was Give yourself a Nickname.
8am:
In this very busy 8 am hour Der BierGarten was in studio showing new pretzels. Melissa was continuing to look for Antiques at the Antique fair. Nina was in Roseville checking out Muds to Suds a grooming bath place for dogs to keep them cool. The Hulk Lou Ferrigno and his son joined via Skype to talk about his BodyBuilding event coming up in Tahoe. Narrator Kate Rudd joined Cody and Super Viewer Kathleen Lancaster to talk about The Fault in our Stars. Cody talked with the niece of Eddie Livingston who wrote letters about Vets and they way they are being and have been treated since returning from War some 50 years ago. Now those letters are in a book and proceeds will benefit vets in a special fund. Cambi was with Vietnam Vet, Bob who makes Bamboo Fly Fishing rods in Stockton.
9am:
In this hour Melissa was at OMG Yogurt checking out the 36 flavors of Shaved ice. 2 body builders were in studio showing off their bodies and talking Tahoe and Santa Barbara Shows. Audrey announces birth of daughter via Facebook / Twitter. Red Union Blue Band joins to take the Good Stage. Cambi was in Modesto for American Graffiti Days. Nina was checking out Second Chance furniture.
10am:
Dr. Tyler Smith was in studio sharing how he uses Google Glass Lake Appliance in studio debuts yet another GREAT Promo video with Happy. Cambi was continuing with American Graffiti. Melissa continued with OMG. Red Union Blue performed 2 more songs including Soft Kitty. Lori had Hot Headlines. Nina was at the Davis Dean Cellar Tasting Room in Lincoln.
Final Thoughts:
Today Cambi was going south to Stockton and Modesto so before heading there she stopped at a new coffee shop called Grace Coffee. Grace Coffee has 2 locations in Elk Grove including the new location on Elk Grove Blvd. Near Elk Grove High School. What makes Grace Coffee so unique is they give 10% of proceeds back to Sex Trafficking Awareness which has spun out of control of late.
Something from Eddie:
Today the niece of Eddie Livingston was in studio talking about her uncles struggles of being a vet when he returned from WWII. He sat down and typed letters to whomever would listen including then President Kennedy that vets were being treated unfair. Now his letters are in book form and you can help vets buy purchasing a copy of Something From Eddie. A fund has been set up with proceeds from the sale helping vets get proper care.

Melissa was in Sacramento checking out all the GREAT deals at the Antique Fair today.
Fault in our Stars:
This weekend The Fault in our Stars opened in theaters to a number 1 spot with an estimated $48,200,000 at the box office. Like most movies this was first a book. Today on Good Day Cody and one of the BEST viewers Kathleen Lancaster talked via Skype with book narrator Kate Rudd. I love when Kat is on the show. She is so well spoken and knew all the right questions to ask. Even I had tears listening.
Audrey:
Late in the 8am hour Amy announced the birth of Audrey's daughter. Congrats to mom, dad and beautiful (Maisyn Belle). I love the name and spelling.
Ask Eleanor:

Vacation:
Cody is on VACATION NOW! Look for Cody to return in the next 10 - 14 days while he and his family enjoy this time they have together. As fans of Cody it is up to us to continue giving Good Day Weekend the GREAT ratings it gets with him on. I know Amy, Lori, Melissa, Cambi, Nina and the rest of the crew will do a GREAT job while Cody gets much needed R&R. Have Fun Cody.

Nina was checking out the Women's race today at the Capitol benefiting WEAVE. Nina also was checking our 2nd Chance Furniture. Before Nina checked out furniture she gave a bath and groom to keep dogs cool in these hot temps at MUDs to Suds. Finally Nina went to Davis and Deans winery tasting room.
Cambi was in Stockton checking out a local Vietnam vet that makes bamboo fishing rods to sell. These are awesome. Cambi then headed to Modesto for American Graffiti Days checking out the cool cars.
OMG Yogurt has 36 flavors of Shaved Ice so Melissa checked out all they had to offer plus built a monster of shaved ice.
In studio today Der Beirgarten showing off a new pretzel, bodybuilders and live Skype with the Incredible Hulk. Red Union Blue performed on the Good Day Stage and included the Soft Kitty Challenge.
All in all the weekend show delivered in every way. We now turn the controls back to Marianne, Ken and crew.

Welcome to Sunday. Leading off Nina was at the Kaiser Womens Walk Run benefitting WEAVE at the State Capital. Cambi was in Elk Grove checking out a new coffee spot. Grace Coffee opened Tuesday and 10% of the profits go toward Sex Trafficking awareness. Ken gave a recap of Belmont from the airport. Eleanor had her gossip including Regis getting a ride from a stranger. Today's Show us yours was cry face and the #GDSJustCurious topic was Give yourself a Nickname.
8am:
In this very busy 8 am hour Der BierGarten was in studio showing new pretzels. Melissa was continuing to look for Antiques at the Antique fair. Nina was in Roseville checking out Muds to Suds a grooming bath place for dogs to keep them cool. The Hulk Lou Ferrigno and his son joined via Skype to talk about his BodyBuilding event coming up in Tahoe. Narrator Kate Rudd joined Cody and Super Viewer Kathleen Lancaster to talk about The Fault in our Stars. Cody talked with the niece of Eddie Livingston who wrote letters about Vets and they way they are being and have been treated since returning from War some 50 years ago. Now those letters are in a book and proceeds will benefit vets in a special fund. Cambi was with Vietnam Vet, Bob who makes Bamboo Fly Fishing rods in Stockton.
9am:
In this hour Melissa was at OMG Yogurt checking out the 36 flavors of Shaved ice. 2 body builders were in studio showing off their bodies and talking Tahoe and Santa Barbara Shows. Audrey announces birth of daughter via Facebook / Twitter. Red Union Blue Band joins to take the Good Stage. Cambi was in Modesto for American Graffiti Days. Nina was checking out Second Chance furniture.
10am:
Dr. Tyler Smith was in studio sharing how he uses Google Glass Lake Appliance in studio debuts yet another GREAT Promo video with Happy. Cambi was continuing with American Graffiti. Melissa continued with OMG. Red Union Blue performed 2 more songs including Soft Kitty. Lori had Hot Headlines. Nina was at the Davis Dean Cellar Tasting Room in Lincoln.
Final Thoughts:
Today Cambi was going south to Stockton and Modesto so before heading there she stopped at a new coffee shop called Grace Coffee. Grace Coffee has 2 locations in Elk Grove including the new location on Elk Grove Blvd. Near Elk Grove High School. What makes Grace Coffee so unique is they give 10% of proceeds back to Sex Trafficking Awareness which has spun out of control of late.
Something from Eddie:
Today the niece of Eddie Livingston was in studio talking about her uncles struggles of being a vet when he returned from WWII. He sat down and typed letters to whomever would listen including then President Kennedy that vets were being treated unfair. Now his letters are in book form and you can help vets buy purchasing a copy of Something From Eddie. A fund has been set up with proceeds from the sale helping vets get proper care.

Melissa was in Sacramento checking out all the GREAT deals at the Antique Fair today.
Fault in our Stars:
This weekend The Fault in our Stars opened in theaters to a number 1 spot with an estimated $48,200,000 at the box office. Like most movies this was first a book. Today on Good Day Cody and one of the BEST viewers Kathleen Lancaster talked via Skype with book narrator Kate Rudd. I love when Kat is on the show. She is so well spoken and knew all the right questions to ask. Even I had tears listening.
Audrey:
Late in the 8am hour Amy announced the birth of Audrey's daughter. Congrats to mom, dad and beautiful (Maisyn Belle). I love the name and spelling.
Ask Eleanor:
Today Eleanor brought the gossip. That included the J-Lo breakup. Regis getting a ride from a stranger at a bus stop and so much more. Please like Ask Eleanor on Facebook for much more weekly gossip.
Dishin:
It's Sunday so that means its a new edition of Dishin With Tina. This week Tina took us Vince's Mexican Restaurant in Woodland. Look for Vince's in studio during the 9am hour of Good Day Wednesday.
Vacation:
Cody is on VACATION NOW! Look for Cody to return in the next 10 - 14 days while he and his family enjoy this time they have together. As fans of Cody it is up to us to continue giving Good Day Weekend the GREAT ratings it gets with him on. I know Amy, Lori, Melissa, Cambi, Nina and the rest of the crew will do a GREAT job while Cody gets much needed R&R. Have Fun Cody.
Good Day Nutshell:
Nina was checking out the Women's race today at the Capitol benefiting WEAVE. Nina also was checking our 2nd Chance Furniture. Before Nina checked out furniture she gave a bath and groom to keep dogs cool in these hot temps at MUDs to Suds. Finally Nina went to Davis and Deans winery tasting room.
Cambi was in Stockton checking out a local Vietnam vet that makes bamboo fishing rods to sell. These are awesome. Cambi then headed to Modesto for American Graffiti Days checking out the cool cars.
OMG Yogurt has 36 flavors of Shaved Ice so Melissa checked out all they had to offer plus built a monster of shaved ice.
In studio today Der Beirgarten showing off a new pretzel, bodybuilders and live Skype with the Incredible Hulk. Red Union Blue performed on the Good Day Stage and included the Soft Kitty Challenge.
All in all the weekend show delivered in every way. We now turn the controls back to Marianne, Ken and crew.
