Heather was at Lodi Memorial Children's Hospital where they are hoping to remodel with your help through a GoFundMe Page. Heather was with Quilters Hollow a group of ladies that have been spending their time at a local quilt shop for a really great cause. They are working hard to piece together quilts for children in the area. Heather was at Web's Big Ben's Burgers where they are honoring George Lucas, creator of Star Wars, who was born and raised in Modesto This was George's favorite burger spot that has been around since 1942 and supposedly he would frequent when he lived here. It has new owners but the same great burgers, including the Chewbacca burger

Cambi was at Upper Level's NEW Location. established in 2014 they just moved into a new location on Howe Ave. Cambi was with Kristen Millard who sends Thin Blue Line American Flags to fallen officers and needs help to continue to do so. Cambi was with Christina Faye of Graphic Design By Stina Faye who is super creative and is showed some of her creations this morning.
Dave was at Elephant Bar learning how make some new cocktails perfect for Brunch. Dave was at Liftaholics class in Elk Grove is teaching OLDER adults all about strength training. Dave was at Surf Xtreme in Elk Grove to check out Surf Xtreme Kids Camp.

Tina was with experts from Raley's talking Oysters and wine pairings everything from grilled to Rockefeller or just plain shucked and served on the half shell.


Sidney from Sacramento 365 joined from Hornet Field at Sacramento State where Elite junior athletes are taking over for the National Championships all week-long. Marianne was with Jean Shafiroff  author of “Successful Philanthropy– How to Make A Life by What You Give” — a practical guide to modern giving that redefines philanthropy for today’s era getting tips on choosing a charity. Marianne was BREAKING THE RULES microwaving when it says not to.

Ken and Julissa talked with Jennifer Lombardi from Empathic Way with tips on warning signs for eating disorders as local students countdown to their first day on a new college campus. Sac Metro Fire joined Ken to talk about Fire Extinguisher use and the courses they are having at Station 50 on Gerber Road this Wednesday and Saturday. Ken was in Vacaville with Junior Olympians including 1 13-year-old track star training for the big show! The Fairfield middle schooler Simon has qualified for the 3000m race at the USA Track and Field Junior Olympic Nationals taking over Sac State this week.

Ken: Fire Extinguisher Tech
Today on Good Day Sac Metro Fire joined Ken to talk about Fire Extinguisher use and the courses they are having at Station 50 on Gerber Road this Wednesday and Saturday. It’s great to have a fire extinguisher but knowing how to use it correctly is key! Sac Metro Fire is providing extinguisher training to the public to make sure families are aware of the do’s and the don’ts to putting out a fire (and potentially saving a life)!! The new teaching technology is pretty cool too!!

Cambi: Thin Blue Lines
Today on Good Day Cambi was with Kristen Millard who sends Thin Blue Line American Flags to fallen officers and needs help to continue to do so. It all started after Galt Police Department lost its first officer back in 2013, one woman started sending flags to police officers. She couldn’t believe how touched they were by the gesture and now her flags are sent nationwide to law enforcement agencies. She needs help paying it forward though because it’s getting costly. We are there as she is getting some of the flags ready to send out.
