Favorite Story / Story of the Day: Old and New:
Where do I begin today? Today's show brought so much joy and unbelievable surprises. So lets start today's review in order in which they appeared. 



Have you ever heard Ken Sing? If not you got a small sampling of Ken jamming with legendary Bass Guitar Player Billy Cox. Billy was the the bass player to play with the Rock Legend Jimi Hendrix and now Billy has joined forces with some GREAT musicians to bring the Hendrix Experience to you. Last night that happened in Davis at the Mondavi Center. While Ken was talking to Billy and getting ready to leave he was invited to sing with him and a couple of others prior to the show. This was pretty cool and Ken was definitely in a Purple Haze and was kissing the sky. 



Smokin Ace, A-Team, The Gray are just 3 of many that former Good Day Producer/Director Joe Carnahan have been involved with and today on Good Day Mark with Mirabelle took breakfast to Joe's Fair Oaks home in a "Stretch" Limo. Why in a Stretch? Because Joe latest project is out but only available on Itunes however it is getting amazing reviews. Why is this not on the Big Screen? I can't answer that but in my opinion anything Joe does should be on the Big Screen or at least on Network TV like State of Affairs on NBC. To download Stretch go to

Cody was in Auburn at an Estate Sale like no other. Most of these items came from the 1800's from musical instruments to dolls to jewelry. Name it they might have it. Today Cody was in Auburn with Mary. Her aunt passed away and this weekend they are having an estate sale. From 9-4 on Saturday and 9-3 on Sunday you can go to the house and see these vintage items. In the 9am hour Cody showed antique dolls, postcards one from 1911 and jewelry where he teamed up with Auburn Amy Picker to check out said Jewelry and other items.

In the 9am hour it was Rival Hour and it was also time for Julissa and Laura to flashback to their College days as they both showed off their College Pride from USC, Colorado Buffalo's and of course not be left out Courtney and Tina showed their College pride of Sac State to celebrate Homecoming "Stingers Up" 
  


However that is not where it ended. The second half of the show Julissa and Laura went to their pro rival as the 49'ers hose the Broncos and the 2 showed off their jersey's from today. 



So while we saw old items and old friends of the show (Joe Carnahan) we got new and old in today's show. For much more on all of this see what took place Today in the News.....

Ken: Jimi Hendrix’s Bass Player, Billy Cox
Ken got the chance of a lifetime to sit and talk and sing  with legendary bassist Billy Cox, who is the last man to play in a band with Jimi Hendrix. Billy was in town at the Mondavi Center in Davis along with a half dozen legendary musicians for the Hendrix Experience concert where these legends bring Jimi’s music to life for a live audience.

Last Night Ken was invited to sit and talk to legendary bassist Billy Cox. Billy played with Jimi Hendrix and is keeping his music alive with a tour of legend musicians. The tour stopped by the Mondavi Center. The Hendrix Experience Tour consists of Billy Cox, Stevie Ray Vaughan Guitarist and Kenny Wayne Sheppard to name a few. Last night while Ken was interviewing the legend he invited Ken to sing making it a true honor for Ken to sing and play with such a legend and greats in the music industry. 



Row Row Row the Boat:
Melissa was hanging out with Sac State Row team learning all they do to train before they hit the water plus she got into the water and rowed the boat "Gently" down the stream.



High School Kickback:
Today's High School Kickback took Julissa to St. Mary's High School as they prepare for Tokay High School. Per usual the fun and games took place. St. Mary's is the former High School of Tampa Bay Bucs Running Back Doug Martin and their principle is an NFL Ref. 



Sac International Auto Show:
Mark was at Cal Expo checking out the Sac International Auto Show. Mark was checking out the Drift Car Race. These are not just regular Drift cars these cars are controlled by Radio Control. The event takes place ALL Weekend long at Cal Expo. Mark also teamed with Doug The Car Czar at the show. 



Helping Handbags:
Courtney was with Salvation Army talking about a very special event tomorrow at McCLellan from 1030-2pm for an Auction to help Proceeds benefit women and children in need, in the greater Sacto area



Comedian Gina Brillon:
Tonight - Sunday Actress / Comedian is appearing at Punch Line but before she does she stopped by the Good Day Studio to talk to Courtney and Ken about her career, and of course what you can expect to see at her shows. 



Vintage Estate:
Cody was in Auburn checking out a unique Vintage Estate Sale. If you love music this is a place to be. This house has items from the 1800's and they still work. This was truly amazing and Cody did a GREAT job showing it off. Sales takes place All weekend long from 9-4 Saturday and 9-3 Sunday. 



Grapes of Wrath
Two musical guest played the Good Day Stage today as part of a preview of Grapes of Wrath. Sam and Megan performed a 2 songs from their portion of the performances talking place Now - November. 



Breakfast at Joe's Place
Today Mark headed to Fair Oaks, CA with Mirabelle to take Breakfast to Movie Director Joe Carnahan and talk about Stretch The Movie. 



Pet Adoption:
Tina talked about Pet Adoption Month
October is Pet Adoption Month and it’s almost over! and today on Good Day, Sacramento County Animal Care was in studio to talk about their big weekend adoption event. All animals: $20.



Tap Dancin:
