Ouija Takes Top Box Office Spot / @Markatthemovies Episode 265 Highlights:
Week of 10/25/2014 - 10/26/2014
Box Office Report:
Shocker at the Box Office this week. a board game won the box office. This week the Suspense film Ouija got a jump on the Halloween competition a week early and jumped ahead of John Wick and the return of Keanu Reeves to the Box Office. In fact it's kinda like the blow Mark took to the head when Rachel said playing the game is harmful and people get hurt. She's right Ouija hurt the rest of the box office for sure.
This week the box office numbers are in first place Ouija with $20,006,000. Coming in at #2 John Wick with $14,150,000 Fury fell 2 spots to #3 with $13,000,000 Falling to #4 was Gone Girl with $11,100,000 and rounding out the top 5 was The Book of Life $98,000,000. Coming in at 6 this week was St. Vincent with $8,058.000 (as a reminder all totals are estimates and actuals will be released Monday.)
This week on Mark at the Movies Mark and crew talked about 3 of the top 6 and those are...

Mark, Brian, Dionna, Anna, Alexa play Ouija Board, Rachel stops them and says they hurt people then she hits Mark in the face with it.

Final Thoughts:
For the 3rd straight week Mark at the Movies has been solid and they talked about 5 movies one of those movies is only available online.....
Smokin Ace, A-Team, The Gray are just 3 of many that Co Creator of Mark at the Movies, Joe Carnahan has been involved with Joe latest project is out but only available on Itunes and other online outlets however it is getting amazing reviews. Why is this not on the Big Screen? Joe decided to release it quicker to a wider audience by releasing in online however in my opinion anything Joe does should be on the Big Screen or at least on Network TV like State of Affairs on NBC. I have seen this movie and it's awesome. Plus if you're a Chris Pine fan you'll see a "Lot" of him To download Stretch on Itunes go to

In the Retro Reel Review this week Mark at the Movies Viewer John Clay Skyped in to talk about Fury. John really liked this movie and shared an interesting story of his dad who was in WWII and could relate to the story but also his dad was an extra in a movie called Fury however it is not the same storyline.
John Wick lead off new movies this week with Rachel sitting down with Keanu Reeves. Everyone enjoyed the movie and Rachel even want as far as saying it is better than Matrix but the Box Offices numbers don't support that but nonetheless I respect Rachel and her opinion
St. Vincent is one of Bill Murray's better movies and Melissa McCarthy is very good along side this comedic genius. Adding in Jaeden Lieberher makes this a very funny movie.
As always the show starts with an opening skit and this week it was spent with the cast playing Ouija Board. Rachel said playing this game is dangerous and you could get hurt but Mark did not believe her so Rachel grabbed the board and while grabbing it hit Mark in the head proving Ouija Board hurts.
Finally new to DVD is Sex Tape and the rumors are not true Brian does not have one at least not in public.
As I said the last 3 shows have been very good. In fact this weeks show had no tech issues that I could see. Camera was steady, lighting was good, no names in the wrong spot and everyone on the panel chimed in and didn't speak over each other. A Job well done by Mark, Rachel, Brian, Dionna, Anna, and Alexa. One person missing this week was Heather. She just had the week off and as I said last week Short-E is doing a great job and as he gets more comfortable he will only get better for the departed Big Al.
With Halloween on Friday enter in the Scary Movies. Mark and crew will have those covered and I will see you at the movies....
