Fury Wins the Box Office Battlefield... @Markatthemovies Episode 264 Highlights:
Week of 10/18/2014 - 10/19/2014:
Box Office Report:
We have a new #1 at the Box Office and as Pat Benatar sings Love is a Battlefield well so is the Box office and this week Fury won the box
office and the Battle on the Battlefield with Brad Pitt leading the way. In a bit of shock Mark and Mark at the Movies didn't cover this movie this week after a couple of weeks ago Director Marc Woodfork said this was one movie they should be talking about. Also in a shock Kill the Messenger and Men Women and Children finished out of the top 10. In fact Men Women and Children finished so bad it barely made the top 20 (19)
The Box Office Winners this week are starting with Fury with an estimated $23,500,000. Falling 1 spot to #2 was Gone Girl with $17,800,000. Taking over 3rd another movie not talked about this week on the show the new animation feature starring Zoe Saldana The Book of Life with $17,000,000. Falling one spot to #4 was Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good Very Bad Day with $12,039,000 and coming in the 5th spot was Nicholas Spark's The Best Of Me with $10,200,000
Mark and Mark at the Movies can't possibly cover every movie but the ones they did they made it fun and interesting. For those and how the show went this week I Present you Mark at the Movies Highlights Episode 264.....

Final Thoughts:
This week on Mark at the Movies we saw Rachel, Brian, Anna, Heather, Alexa, Short - E and Mark take part in the show.
The show opened up talking about the movies this week when Brian chimed in and gave Gone Girl new way to pronounce the movie. The Brian pronounced the name had me laughing the entire time.
Once they got into the new movies of the week they talked about Men Women and Children. This movie starring Adam Sandler is already getting an Oscar Buzz around Adam. During the discussion of the movie Mark sat down with Jennifer Garner who is becoming one of my favorite actresses. I've always like her but she seems to have been in quite a few movies this year and I love watching her talk to Mark. This movie actually has a pretty star studded cast with Ansel Elgort, Judy Greer, Jessica Chastain, Rosemarie Dewitt and Adam Sandler to name a few.The general consensus of this movie was it was good but not great.
The next movie talked about was Kill The Messenger. This movie stars Modesto's own Jeremy Renner. You might remember Jeremy from Hurt Locker The best part of the discussion of this movie was Jeremy asking Alexa how much it cost to get into a movie now. This also star Rosemarie DeWitt. The group seem to enjoy it but didn't really say how they felt.
The 3rd a Final movie this week was The Best of Me. This discussion got interesting. Alexa took care of the interviews and one of them I felt so bad for her. She talked to the 2 stars of the movie and asked if they ever got dumped as the characters did and the interview was shut down. I saw nothing wrong with Alexa's question and I felt like the handlers for the 2 stars was overly sensitive. Alexa also talked with Nicolas Sparks who was very pleasant to her as he always is when interviewing. Mark liked the movie however Dionna HATED it. Though I was shocked she said that I am glad she was honest and not trying to sugarcoat it with typical industry speak. I just never heard anyone say they hated a Nicolas Sparks movie.
This week's show was very good and a lot of fun and that's what it's all about. Have fun talking about movies and touch each others faces to close the show as part of having fun with Brian's interviews from X Men Days of Futures Past now on DVD.
I don't know if Short-E is a permanent replacement as announcer but I can tell you that he's growing on me. No Pun intended although it could be.
