Making a Difference Everyday... Today in the News 10/14/2014:



Favorite Story / Story of the Day: Helping:
Today I have 3 stories that stick out from today's show. the first was Tina and Dave spotting the Go Girl Pink Flamingo's that Tina first told us about last week when Go Girl and Albie Aware teamed up to place Pink Flamingo's along Capital Mall to benefit #BreastCancerAwareness. For just a $10 donation you can get your hands on one of these Lawn Flamingo's and help with Breast Cancer. Later Kristin provided a full story in the news blocks. 
   


The 2nd story from today was the Murset family. This family of 8 (6 kids) are traveling the country and helping cancer patients in need and others as well. We first met the family at the Good Day Studio and then they headed to the Sacramento Food Bank to help sort food and clothes. This family first did this in the summer and now again in the fall as they are in the last bit of their tour. Today they are here in Sacramento before they go to Modesto, LA, and San Diego before they return home. 



Finally Good Day / CBS 13 and Whole Food Market have teamed up to give 1 lucky family a $1000 gift of groceries. As you know food is expensive so a $1000 will help anyone however at the same time if you don't need it a family in need would benefit big time. With Thanksgiving coming up can you imagine the food you or someone you help could benefit from the prize? You would feel good for helping a family in need and they will feel good for having a nice Thanksgiving Meal that they didn't anticipate having because they didn't have the proper funds to buy the food they need.

Cambi was in Lodi talking about the Lodi Wicked Wine Stroll. What makes it Wicked? Today Cambi was at a local Clock Shop with Zombies hanging around. This is the 5th year and it takes place Saturday 6-9pm in Downtown Lodi. 



Vintage Shopping for Fall:
Courtney went to 2 different Vintage stores for a Fashion Show on the cheap. She was at Eco Thrift first. In the 9am hour Courtney with her fashion expert found themselves at another Thrift Store.



Puzzled:
Cambi was in Lodi at the World of Wonders Museum checking out the Cranium Cafe and putting puzzles together that make you think Plus this Saturday during the Wine Stroll proceeds will be donated to World of Wonders Museum’s Cranium Café exhibit.
