Today in the News Special Report: EP Search
On Sunday Good Day Sacramento Weekend lost one of the BEST Executive Producers in the business of Morning News when they lost Heather Picou. I'm am sure the search for her replacement is underway and the BEST candidate will be named but if I may throw my two cents in this is my short list of potential replacements.
1. Morgan Stuart. If memory serves me correctly she has been producing the 9 and then the 10am hours for at least 3-4 years. In my opinion she is one of the finest producers in the business and would be perfect. One con for Morgan not being named however is she is pregnant with her first child and therefore would need the proper time off for her and her new child and would not be able to fulfill the job at this time.
2. Adam. Adam was at one time the EP for the highly popular Car Czar Show that was once live and now Prerecorded. He may not want to do it.
3. My next choice is Cody Stark. Since Cody took over the weekend show the ratings have been a huge success. However the problem is the difficult task of Producing & hosting during the 4 hour show and that could drain him.
4. My next choice and the other one that makes sense is Alicia. She already is EP for the 3 time Emmy Award Winning Mark at the Movies and would be perfect for this spot.
5. Finally and a long shot, Annalee Penny, once a Production Assistant for Good Day Sacramento who later became a feature reporter for Fox40 before leaving over a contract dispute in 2012. Sacramento TV is better when Annalee is a part of it.
So in the end I'm excited to see who the next great EP of Good Day Sacramento Weekend will be but won't be surprised if the search takes several weeks if not months
So fans of Good Day let me hear from you on who you would like to see.
