#NeverForget ....Today in the News 9/11/2014:



Favorite Story / Story of the Day: We Will Always Remember:
At 5:46am a report of a plane crash started to come in 13 years ago. As everyone was trying to process what just took place another plane hits the 2nd tower moments later. Going through the different news stations at the time a local news reporter on another network that will remain nameless said quote "It's a bad day for Air Traffic Control to have 2 planes fly into the World Trade Center" My first reaction "You idiot we are being attacked" I was shaking and was having trouble finding my breath. Continuing to shake I took a shower to get ready for my 1 year anniversary at my employement. Hitting the road at 630am for a 7am arrival the radio followed by a phone call stating a 3rd plane hit the Pentagon remembering the DJ sobbing on air. I arrived to work and for the first and only time locked the door behind me out of fright. Soon after reports of a 4th planed went down in a field in Pennsylvania and reports say the passengers fought for control of the plane that some say was heading to the White House.



The then look on President Bush's face during a reading to school children said it all. For the first time since Pearl Harbor the USA was under attack on it's own soil.



For the longest time I could not say 9-11 to this day it is hard to say but 13 years later we will #NEVERFORGET Today throughout the USA we remember those we lost from the reading of all the names in the World Trade Center to the Down Planed to the Pentagon. Here locally a local man sets up flags to remember those lost and can be seen now - Sunday as well as local firefighter remember their brothers lost by doing a climb in Downtown Sacramento.



We will #NeverForget. We will always remember everyone lost on this horrific day in USA History.

This Saturday East Sacramento is holding it's Edible Garden tour with proceeds benefiting Women and Children. Today Courtney was there checking it out where she found a HUGE Vegetable.

Gina is an amazing woman. Today she showed how to decorate Candle holders using Nail Polish.
