Opening Statement
As you know in News things can change in a heartbeat, much like writing Today in the News it can to change should events warrant. Today's opening was about dogs but while I was at the doctor I heard the sad news of a passing of a legend. Many of you may not know that a group of owners got together to take their football league to join the NFL many years ago. One of those teams to join the NFL from the AFL was the Buffalo Bills owned by Ralph Wilson Jr. Mr. Wilson came to Buffalo because he believed in the city and thought they could support a professional franchise. He was right. I have been a fan since 1973-74 after growing up in the Buffalo area. I now live in Sacramento, CA but I have never stopped loving this team. Today I am sad to report Mr. Wilson has passed at the age of 95. I am struggling to find the right words because I don't know if I can find them. I am so sadden and heartbroken. As I write this tears continue to roll down my cheek remembering all the good Mr. Wilson did for the team, the league and the city of Buffalo. Many questions now must be answered on the future but today is not the day for those answers. Today we #RememberRalph

Amy and Marianne both off once again meant Julissa and Ken teamed up for most of the show today that talked about 3 generations of pilots, Dogs, Shoe Art and Performing arts.

In this hour Show and Tell was split into 2 segments. The first Julissa talked about her daughter Natalia seeing Ken's son Malcolm at the park and having a playdate. Ken then talked about sayings he found from Nathan Ripperger. The 5am Club Member was introduced and the Question of the Day was asked What's one lesson you learned in school that you haven't forgotten. Today's show us yours is your favorite shoes.
6am:
In this hour Mark is in Stockton looking for local heroes to view Captain America before anyone else. Cambi was getting food tips and trying Peanut butter and jelly smoothies.
7am:
The 7am hour was a busy hour. Cambi met a father/son pilot team who is celebrating the fathers final flight with Hawaiian Airlines. He is finishing his 28 year in flying and the family will be on board so they can celebrate in Hawaii. Eric Cope is a second generation pilot for the family. Mark met a couple of local heroes. 2 Teens carrying on after the loss of their mother with grades and saving friends from committing and one Port of Stockton Police Officer saved a man who fell from a boat. Ken was talking with a local tax expert that encourages people filling out taxes to donate to keeping arts in school, Deterring Elementary school then performed one former Good Day players favorite Song. Shayne Wells loved Miley Cyrus's Party in the USA and that was the song they performed. Julissa talked with a local artist who custom paints shoes including a pair for Good Day, size 8 so the Good Day ladies will need to fight over them.
8am:
In the GREAT 8 the hour went to the dogs. the final 3 stories all had dogs in it. Ken and Julissa talked with a local Dog shop owner serving treats for dogs humans could eat. Tina was checking out durable dog toys and Courtney was walkin the dog at a Folsom Dog Park with Dog expert Jason Davis. Mark continued from Stockton meeting local heroes including Officer Joe Silva who disarmed a man at dinner on Valentines Day. Cambi met the rest of the Cope family as they get set for Eric's final flight to Hawaii. Teens tunes was played with Itunes top 10. The 9amtopic was introduced A business owner is suing over a bad yelp review. Does he have a case?
9am:
Laura and Julissa guided us through the 9am hour and #9amtopic. The hour also included Craig Ashton answering not only the #9amtopic but also answered viewers questions. Mark talked to a local stockton kid now 11 called 911 at age 5 who saved his grandmother. Tina was talking with Petco about Dog Dental products. Julissa talked with a designer Christine Tang from Kira Kids about kid fashion complete with a cute kids fashion show. Courtney was talking Dog Park Do's and Don'ts at a Folsom Dog Park. Mark continued in Stockton meeting a local hero who served 12 years in the Army. Ken had his Manly Minute talking about Man Rules to Live By. Tina's final question of the day.... Your Favorite Park.
Final Thoughts:
Before getting to the final thought on the show today. I needed to cut the other 2 stations today for time constraints. I have a long appointment that could take hours therefore I needed to cut My58 and Fox40. Both should be back tomorrow.

Today's Good Day was very good. We met a lot of GREAT people. I loved the segments Mark did to help promote Captain America by looking for local heroes in the Stockton area. Not only police officers but normal people doing GREAT things stepped up plus we got to see Julian from the Good Day / Mark at the Movies floor crew talk to Chris Evans who is Captain America.
Not only Mark having fun with GREAT people but Cambi met 3 generations of pilots with a Father and Son making the dads final Hawaiin flight from Sacramento to Hawaii. We also met the rest of the family one of which the son who is the dads Co-pilot. Cambi also got a Cleansing tips from a local expert.
Julissa was also getting to know GREAT people. She talked with a local artist who paints shoes and a fashion designer who makes clothes for kids and has had her items on several celebrities children and TV shows.
Ken was not about to be left out on today's theme. Ken talked to a local tax expert who feels very strongly about keeping arts in school whether that be Art or performing art which we got a reminder from one local school that without our donations our kids may not be able to perform in Glee Club, or band.
Not all of the show today was about people no in fact the last part of the 8am hour and part of the 9am hour went to the dogs. Paws and Palette talked dog treats so good humans could eat them. Courtney got Do's and Don'ts from the Dog Park and Tina talked about toys and dental care for your dogs.
The show was very good and very fast paced. But tomorrow is highlighted by 2 favorites of mine from every Wednesday that includes Cody's return and Dishin With Tina with this weeks choice from Marianne. I am still waiting for Cody's choice to come but we still have Laura, Audrey, and possibly Nina to come before Tina finishes up with what I am hoping to be her choice last. with possibly all her coworkers joining her.
But before we get to that point we need to know what to look forward to the rest of this week....
