Final Thoughts:
As if Mark and company saw the future of this weeks Box Office numbers Mr. Peabody and Sherman took the top spot away from 300 Rise of the Empire. This worked out perfectly with the Stowell kids joining via Skype to talk about it, but more on that shortly.
Rounding out the Top 5 300 Rise of the Empire fell to #2 with Need for Speed taking #3 meaning it didn't have enough speed to catch a cartoon dog. In the 4th spot Non-Stop and rounding out the top 5 Tyler Perry's Singles Moms Club.
This week the mystery began. Where is Big Al? Last week we saw Big Al via Skype in an undisclosed location, this week he was M.I.A. In fact Mark not only hosted the show but also provided the opening announcement of the show and when you thought it was over Mark also showed the Skype Prize Pack. This week the Prize Pack went to the Stowell kids, Nina and Austin. If you are out of the Sacramento, CA area you may remember these kids during Oscar Week. Their mom and Dad appeared on Good Day Sacramento prior to and after the Oscar's after winning a National Contest to walk the Red Carpet during the Oscar's. These 2 bundles of joy are full of energy.
In preparation to next weeks Special Edition of Mark at the Movies - Divergent, Mark and crew talked about Muppets Most Wanted that hits theaters Friday March 21, 2014. Rachel handled the interviews for this movie and WOW!!! What class she showed. Plus she got to talk to Kermit the Frog and Ms. Piggy.
Also this week the crew talked about Need for Speed the movie. This video game turned movie looks like Fast and Furious and I am on the same side as Mike Mechanik when he "This is a Car Wreck of a movie" Nonetheless Mike Osborn did sit down with the stars and quite honestly the interviews might be more enjoyable to watch.
New on DVD this week is Inside Llewyn Davis and one of my favorite interviews from the movie came when Heather Brent sat with Oscar Issac and T-Bone Burnett about their rolls. I was so impressed with Heather's poise during the interview.
All an all this week was a solid week. However will Big Al return next week? Tune into this same channel to find out.
Guests:
Mike "On the Mic" Osborn is the In Stadium Emcee for the Sacramento River Cats. You can see Mike every home game getting the crowd excited between innings
