Chris Rock
Today on Good Day Mark and Ken talked live with Comedian Chris Rock about his new movie “Top Five.” In theaters now. It is my opinion Chris is one of the funniest comedians out there and this movie is well worth seeing. It only finished 4th last week and that should have had a lot better showing.

Helping Amber:
A local man Brandon Haefele who donated 1000 turkeys to families in need. Now Brandon and his friend have a new challenge. For those of you who know Amber Coppedge, you know that she is one of the most selfless, generous people on the planet. You know that she will do anything to help anybody at anytime. She volunteers her time to help raise money & awareness for many different causes, serves food to the homeless, donates her time to coach soccer and volunteers for many different committees within the Sacramento Association of Realtors. She is a hardworking, driven mother of two beautiful children ages 14 & 11. She is spunky and sassy and gives 100% in anything and everything that she does.
 

Well friends, it is now our turn to help Amber.
 

Some of you may know that Amber has been battling cancer for over 2 years. She was diagnosed with Ovarian cancer in 2012 at the young age of 31, and began treatment immediately. At the time, she did not have health insurance and was forced to pay out of pocket for her medical expenses. Amber has paid hundreds of thousands of dollars since being diagnosed, for her cancer related expenses. Recently, she found out she will need immediate surgery to remove masses that the doctors have located. She will soon thereafter begin another round of chemotherapy and radiation treatment. Unfortunately, her health insurance will not cover the majority of these expenses, and she will be faced with astronomical debt.
 

We are asking for donations for Amber and her family, to help cover medical and living expenses while she is unable to work.

Today on Good Day Tina was in the Kitchen with Jill Silverman Hough who was sharing some great recipes including one for Good Day. Jill is a cookbook author, recipe developer, blogger and food writer, 
Lindsay Olive and Pimiento Cheese
At a Glance:
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Servings: 6 to 8
Ingredients:
8 ounces (2 cups) coarsely shredded Cheddar cheese
4 ounces spreadable goat cheese (chèvre), cut into 3 or 4 chunks
3/4 cup Lindsay® Naturals Manzanilla Olives Stuffed with Natural Red Peppers, plus 2 or 3 more, sliced, for garnish
1/2 cup sliced Lindsay® Naturals Black Ripe California Olives, plus a few more for garnish
1/4 cup Lindsay® Pimientos, divided
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Crackers, toasts, or celery sticks, for serving
Directions:
Place cheeses in the bowl of a food processor and pulse to combine. Add olives and pimentos and pulse to coarsely chop. Add salt and pepper to taste. Transfer to a serving bowl and garnish with sliced olives.
Cover and refrigerate until about 30 minutes before serving time, then bring to room temperature. Serve with crackers, toasts, or celery sticks.

Tips:
To make the recipe without a food processor, roughly chop the Cheddar, olives, and pimientos before stirring all the ingredients together in a bowl. You can also use a 4.25-ounce can of Lindsay® Chopped California Olives, drained, instead of chopping the sliced olives.
If you like, use cream cheese instead of the goat cheese. You can also try other cheeses in place of the Cheddar.
