Final Thoughts:
This week's edition of Mark at the Movies could have been called Rachel and Friends. Mark was in London as the Premiere for Hobbit kicked off on the Green Carpet so Mark joined via Satellite on this Hobbit Special Edition of Mark at the Movies.
Back at home it was so GREAT to see Rachel back after her 2 weeks away from the show as she was joined by Brian, Mike Osborn, Dionna, Chris Emery, and Alexa. They did talk about the #1 movie Hunger Games and brought in Ultra fan Jennifer Schadel from Sandwich John Films via Skype to talk about the movie.
Mike Mechanick was back with one of the BEST takes I've heard thus far which then took on a debate of it's own with those sitting in this week. It was pretty divided between them that it was too long, not enough action, Why did they need part 2. This is my opinion why they want part 2, It's the #1 movie for 3 weeks in a row that means it's making a ton of money and what is it all about? Providing a good product so people will flock to see it and continue to make $$$. Part 2 will also make a ton of money so that's why they split it up.
Back to the movie talked about this week Mark talked to many of the stars from The Hobbit including Evangeline Lilly, Orlando Bloom, Lee Pace and Luke Evans. Mike Osborn flashed us back to the last Hobbit movie with his sit down interviews with Andy Serkis, Ian McKellen, and Richard Armitage.
They also talked movies new to DVD and again Andy Serkis was front and Center with Dawn of the Apes. Also new on DVD was The 100 Foot Journey starring Helen Mirren and Mark sat down with both Helen and Andy about these 2 films.
Mark also went to Paris last week to talk with the stars of Exodus Kings and Gods which is the big release this Friday. Mark talked with the stars of the movie including Christian Bale so look for much more on this movie next week on Mark at the Movies and Mark should be back with us. So until then I will see you at the movies.
