Today on Good Day Mark was at Global Winter Wonderland with Special Guest Arron Negrete. A Quick reminder Arron first came onto the scene when he was trying to win a fan for his family. Aaron was born with no hands and legs and need a new van for his mom and his Wheelchair. Then Aaron went to New York for the Premier of Transformers and found out he was not the winner but through the magic of Good Day and countless other organizations they came through to get Aaron and his mom that van they so desperately needed. Today on Good Day Cambi got a unique look at a family owned Poinsettias Farm,  Duarte Poinsettias. One way to get into the holiday spirit is getting poinsettias right from where they're grown! The Duarte Nursery offers 30 different varieties of nearly three football fields worth of poinsettias They started 21 years ago with 400 now they have 65,000. Melissa was in Woodland today with Give Love Christmas, One thing people may or may not realize is when a parent becomes a Foster Parent that Child becomes a part of the family but they may not always have things other kids in the home may have so Give back and Give Love Is a new campaign to provide clothing and overnight items for children placed in foster care throughout Yolo County.

Helping Amber:
A local man Brandon Haefele who donated 1000 turkeys to families in need. Now Brandon and his friend have a new challenge. This message is from the event organizer that needs our help in this time of giving. If you can help please do if you can't share this message, Retweet this message or just pass onto a friend that you think could and lets help Amber. 


For those of you who know Amber Coppedge, you know that she is one of the most selfless, generous people on the planet. You know that she will do anything to help anybody at anytime. She volunteers her time to help raise money & awareness for many different causes, serves food to the homeless, donates her time to coach soccer and volunteers for many different committees within the Sacramento Association of Realtors. She is a hardworking, driven mother of two beautiful children ages 14 & 11. She is spunky and sassy and gives 100% in anything and everything that she does. 


Well friends, it is now our turn to help Amber. 


Some of you may know that Amber has been battling cancer for over 2 years. She was diagnosed with Ovarian cancer in 2012 at the young age of 31, and began treatment immediately. At the time, she did not have health insurance and was forced to pay out of pocket for her medical expenses. Amber has paid hundreds of thousands of dollars since being diagnosed, for her cancer related expenses. Recently, she found out she will need immediate surgery to remove masses that the doctors have located. She will soon thereafter begin another round of chemotherapy and radiation treatment. Unfortunately, her health insurance will not cover the majority of these expenses, and she will be faced with astronomical debt. 


We are asking for donations for Amber and her family, to help cover medical and living expenses while she is unable to work.

On the daily list this morning from health.com, three ways your house is making you fat. Thermostat set too high. The higher the heat the warmer you are therefore causing weight. Lights are too dim. When not get enough sleep it causes you to gain. Plates and Bowls are huge. The larger the bowl the more you eat.
