Final Thoughts:
This week on Mark at the Movies is one I've been waiting for for a couple of weeks with the release of Interstellar and Big Hero 6. It did not disappoint.
Leading off the show is Floor Crew and Marvel Expert dressed as Baymax from Big Hero 6 and everyone thought he was the Stay Puft Marshmallow man.
Once they got into Retro Reel Review Sean Evans from Back to the Movies joined via Skype to talk about Nightcrawlers prior to Mark tossing to a Jake Gyllenhaal interview. After the interview we learned Rachel loved Jake. The panel this week all think Jake and Nightcrawlers will get some Oscar Buzz with it. One camera man in the News Business called the movie "Hooky" Mark even suggested waiting for it to come out on DVD.
Finally it was time to hear about Interstellar. EVERYONE Loved this movie. Brian even showed off his 2 space inspired tattoo's he was so geeked out over it. I really enjoyed all 3 interviews with Christopher, Matthew, and Anne but the one I loved the most came from a non actor Doug Link from Esquire Imax Theater as he explained the difference to what the new Imax Digital is and what Christopher Nolan filmed on with the 70mm. It's unfortunate more movie makers don't use this type of film but now with the digital age it makes it more difficult. This movie could also get a lot of Oscar buzz.
Big Hero 6 joins Disney and Marvel together and so what better person to send to talk with the cast than the Mark at the Movies resident Marvel guru Julian Soto. Julian did an excellent job as he talked with 3 of the stars but it it's one that stole the show when he talked with Baymax about Mark S. Allen. It was hilarious
The final movie talked about before Hercules which is new on DVD was The Theory of Everything. The star, Eddie Redmayne is too getting Oscar Buzz.
Next Week Dumb and Dumber 2 and Foxcatcher are just 2 movies to look forward to. Heather Brent is really looking forward to Foxcatcher so we will see how these 2 and more play out next week. So until then I will see you at the movies....
