Ridin'... Today in the News 2/20/2014:

Opening Statement:
Today I want to talk a little bit about the Powerball. I do it but it always makes me laugh how crazy people get over the jackpots. Like I said I do it to so I am just as bad but the way everyone thinks they are going to win but yet the next day everyone goes back to reality. Then you get the people who get mad because they didn't play but state the numbers picked would have been the those numbers picked. Which brings me to my point of this. A couple of months ago after one of the big totals for the Lottery I was in a store and some of the employees we're talking and one asked what the numbers were. The other employee told her and her response was "Those are the numbers I was going to pick, exact same numbers." Yeah and if I knew the numbers from last night I would have been $425M richer and instead I'm not. I always think about that story when the lotto gets high and out of control.

So what is taking place Today in the News....

Marianne's Daily List: 3 Things You Didn’t Know About Girl Scout Cookies
We learned the other day — and you could probably guess – that the Thin Mint is the most popular cookie the Girl Scouts sell, accounting for $175 million of the profits the organization makes off the annual sale. But as we enter Girl Scout cookie season, Marianne found a couple of other interesting things you may not know about Girl Scout cookies. That’s this morning’s Daily List. 1933 Boxes cost $0.23.
