Opening Statement:
Before getting into today's opening statement this quick programming note about Today in the News, My58 will return after the Olympics. and Fox40 will return on Monday. So please enjoy the next couple of days of Good Day Sacramento only.
Thursday's are Thrifty Thursday's on Good Day Sacramento with Gina from ThriftTown. I am not thrifty at all but others a very good at doing DIY projects, others are good at putting outfits together for costume type parties, others are good at painting or drawing, or making us laugh, some may be good a writing. But the moral of this we are all good at something. Find that something and prefect it. It may bring money your way or joy to someone's heart. So enjoy what you do and be grateful for others work and remember the projects that Gina brings to Good Day Sacramento are quite easy and will bring joy to others as well as give you a good sense of accomplishments.

Rain, Rain fell, Rain falls, Rain, Rain, Rain, The theme for today is Rain. It basically dominated the show today but it was the professionals from Good Day Sacramento that got us through this Rainy Day but at least it was a day you could juice and make crafts for Valentines Day.

Kicking off today, RAIN. Rain dominated the 430/5am hours postponing the Show and Tell and Question of the day. Show us yours... today was show your rain gear, such as cute boots. Apparently guys have them too... More on that in Manly Minute. Mark had News of the Weird. Marianne had the Daily List How to keep cats off counter. Julissa checked out a Lodi Juicer plant for Plastaket Manufacturing Inc. – Home of the Champion Juicer and Courtney had today's 5am Club Member.
6am:
The Rain and weather conditions causing accidents dominated this hour however Julissa did continue fro Plastaket Manufacturing this hour she learned how to make the juice.
7am:
This hour Julissa continued from Plastaket making different foods from the Juicer and Melissa was getting gift idea's for teachers on Valentines Day. The weather coverage continued adding in Laura Skirde and Cody Stark together.
8am:
In the GREAT 8 Melissa continued from Pinwheels and Polk a dot with gift ideas for kids valentines. Ken and Marianne talked to a local film maker looking for extras to put in her Goblin Movie. Court's Tunes was played with the Rain edition.
9am:
Julissa and Laura guided us through the 9am hour with today's fun topic of Selfies. Many submitted their own. Today was also Thursday so that meant Gina from Thrift Town was in with more GREAT DIY Projects for cheap to do. I think my favorite was the mailbox. Mark was checking out Arena Cross at Sleep Train Arena this weekend and how much work gets down prior to and after the event. After Arena cross leaves Sunday they need to set the ice down for Disney. Tina was at the Fire Rock Grill in Rancho Cordova, for those familiar this is formally SheepHerders. I don't know how Ken does it but in his Manly Minute he talked about Rain Boots for Men. "Man Card" Suspended right? Wrong, Ken pulled it off once again with another GREAT Manly Minute. No final question of the day with time running short.
Final Thoughts:
Wednesday was National Weather Person Day... Who knew? Give a belated wish to your favorite weatherperson (Cody Stark Laura Skirde).
The weather dominated today and may again tomorrow into the weekend with rain finally coming down making it bad to drive in, accidents with the rain and snow falling threw a lot of things out of the window. However as Good Day proves time and time again no matter rain, snow, or whatever the case may be the show must go on. The only thing I can tell that was dropped was a satellite interview from the Doctors that can be seen Weekdays at 2pm on CW31. Everyone at Good Day did a GREAT job including a rare Lori Wallace sighting in the early part of the show.
Tomorrow is Friday and like I said the weather could be the top story but Today in the News will cover it all. Programming Note Fox40 will return Monday and My58 will return following the games in Sochi.
