Final Thoughts:
The Hobbit keeps the #1 spot at the theater beating Ron Burgundy and the rest of Anchorman2. In ways I'm surprised at this but what might have taken place is those who didn't see Hobbit last week did this week. Saving Mr. Banks had a much better showing now that it is in more theaters. Frozen fell to a strong third place finish behind Anchorman 2 with Hunger Games taking #4.
This week Mark welcomed many guest. Kylie Erica Mar was back has his Cohost for this edition of Mark at the Movies. We got to see his next Special Guest during the Retro Reel Review when Mark and Kylie talked to Cassidy Gard about The Hobbit. You may remember we first met Cassidy in November when Mark at the Movies had the Special Edition of Hunger Games, Catching Fire. Cassidy quickly became one of my favorite guests on the show. It was GREAT to see her again. During the review of Anchorman 2 we met our third and final guest. Rachel Greninger was in studio talking and sharing her one on one with Anchorman 2's Adam McKay who directed the movie and revealed that Baxter the dog was Baxter 2. The other Baxter has left us.
The show was very solid this week and very Anchorman 2 heavy as I thought it would be. But because the Christmas Holiday is just days away Mike ranted about his favorite Holiday movie where it was revealed his favorite was Christmas Vacation with Chevy Chase but the BEST Holiday movie is A Christmas Story.
With that said I want to send out a very heartfelt Merry Christmas to not only Mark S. Allen but EVERYONE who has been on Mark at the Movies throughout the years in front of and behind the camera's. Without all of you Mark wouldn't look as good as he does. :). To my readers I wish all of you a Merry Christmas to all of you and your families as well.
Until next week I will see you at the Movies...
