Nha was with Folsom Engineer Tom Boardman Engineered Sculptures who has been making and refining kinetic sculptures for about nine years. Nha was learning more about Schutt  Sacramento Speed Elite which is one of the top USSSA ranked travel baseball programs in Northern California with their 13U Elite Black team ranked #3 in California and #9 in the nation. With Holiday Parties coming today Nha was at Apricot Lane Folsom seeing what they have in Fashion to get you ready.




Dave was at the 9th Annual California Bowl where A2K Sports and Entertainment and Placer Valley Tourism are partnering up again to bring this highly competitive youth football tournament back to Placer Valley. Dave was at Gold Country Fair with The Craft Guild of Nevada County who is a non-profit organization raising money for the community. Dave was at Rocklin Endurance Sports which is a locally owned shop dedicated to the endurance athlete.

Melissa was checking out Gift Ideas for Dads. Melissa was with Brandon Daniel of All The Way Fit showing how to keep those extra Holiday pounds off. Melissa was with Rize All who is giving back to its community through the best way it knows how–dance! “Give Into The Groove” is a charity holiday show taking place Saturday Dec 3rd at Benvenuti Performing Arts Center to raise money for after school dance programs and open a community studio for area youth in Sacramento. Melissa was with creator of the Gift Wrap Cutter Henry Harba.

Nha: Engineered Sculptures Part 1 and 2
Today on Good Day Nha was with Folsom Engineer Tom Boardman Engineered Sculptures who has been making and refining kinetic sculptures for about nine years. Most of the sculptures are spring driven and, depending on the which sculpture, will run for 12-30 hours when fully wound.

Dave: California Bowl
Today on Good Day Dave was at the 9th Annual California Bowl where A2K Sports and Entertainment and Placer Valley Tourism are partnering up again to bring this highly competitive youth football tournament back to Placer Valley. The tournament is officially full with 38 teams competing in four different age brackets that include Jr. Pee Wee, Pee Wee, Jr. Midget and Midget that covers the age range of 7 to 14. Teams from Washington, Nevada and California will be participating, all hoping to be crowned the champions of Calibowl.

Nha: Speed Hit-A-Thon
Today on Good Day Nha was learning more about Schutt  Sacramento Speed Elite which is one of the top USSSA ranked travel baseball programs in Northern California with their 13U Elite Black team ranked #3 in California and #9 in the nation. Schutt Speed Elite attends exclusive events all around the United States. So to help with the cost of these trips each year Speed holds an annual hit-a-thon where proceeds from the event go back to the baseball player’s travel expenses. Each player will receive 50 pitches and each line drive sponsors will give them an amount per hit or donate a flat fee.

Dave: Christmas Craft & Art Faire
Today on Good Day Dave was at Gold Country Fair with The Craft Guild of Nevada County who is a non-profit organization raising money for the community. Initially the CGNC presented a Spring Fair in Grass Valley and a Winter Fair at the Nevada County Fairgrounds. Both events were so successful they decided to host the Christmas Craft & Art Faire at the Gold Country Fairgrounds in Auburn, Placer County. Funds raised are donated to community organizations in both Placer and Nevada Counties such as the Spay & Neuter Clinic in Auburn, Wounded Warriors of Nevada County.

Recipe:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
1 9″ pie crust par-baked with egg wash for 10 minutes
1 Cup of sugar
4T melted butter
4 eggs
1 Cup plus 2T dark corn syrup
1/2 Cup pure maple syrup
1/4 Cup bourbon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 Cup pecan pieces
whisk together sugar, butter, eggs, corn syrup, maple syrup bourbon and vanilla. place pecans into pie shell pour mixture into par-baked pie shell. Bake at 350 for 50- 60 minutes serve warm or room temperature

A newly developed product designed and developed by local residence (El Dorado Hills), Dr. Henry Habra. Dr. Harba and his wife were frustrated with traditional gift wrap cutting aids that constantly ripped the paper. As a result of not finding a new device, Dr. Habra solved the problem by designing the Gift Wrap Cutter.
