Pixels Scores High At Box Office / @Markatthemovies Episode 304 Highlights

Week of 7/25/2015 - 7/26/2015

Box Office Report:
Pixels appears to be coming up short at the Box Office but it is holding it's own with a 2 spot debut not far behind this weeks #1 Ant-Man with an estimated  $24,765,000. Pixels will come in around an estimated $24,000,000. Falling to 3rd is Minions with an estimated $22,100,000. Trainwreck fell 1 spot to 4th with an estimated  $17,300,000. In a surprising turn of events it was thought by experts that Southpaw would finish out of the Top 5 but that ended up not being the case with an estimated $16,500,000 which means as a bonus Paper Tiger will finish in the 6th spot with an estimated $12,500,000. I have my own personal reason for why this movie didn't go so well but I'll leave it at that.

Box Office Winners:
1. Ant-Man $24,765,000
2. Pixels $24,000,000
3. Minions $22,100,000
4. Trainwreck $17,300,000
5. Southpaw $16,500,000

All totals are estimates and will be updated Monday.

Final Thoughts:
This week on Mark at the Movies Episode 304 we met some GREAT new people after Alexa Renee Jordyn M. Rolling and Heather Brent exited stage left or right depending on which way you're facing. Anyway, while we will miss them they will always be a part of the family and the history of the show. I will introduce you to the new members as we go along. Leading off the show in Retro Reel Review the amazingly talented Cassidy Gard joined via Skype to talk about Trainwreck and her love for Amy Schumer Also noted this week former host of Best Damn Sports Show and by far one of the smartest people I know when it comes to horse racing Kenneth Rudulph asked Amy and her Co Star Bill Hader some sports trivia questions.

When it came time for what's new this week the panel started off with Pixels. Mark S. Allen talked with Josh Gad Kevin James Michelle Monaghan and of course Adam Sandler Lonni Rivera really enjoyed the movie while Kelly Savanna Deaton loved the Special Effects of the film. Suzanne said she once had a crush on Adam. The General consensus of the panel was everyone enjoyed the movie and if the box office is any indication so to did the audience or perhaps it was the amazing Soundtrack that took everyone back to the 80's.

Because of the Worldwide release of Vacation Movie on Wednesday next week Mark and friends decided to talk about the movie this week. Kelly loved the concept of the movie and Brian Crall who did an awesome job with the interviews with Ed Helms Skyler Gisondo and Steele Stebbins and Christina Applegate added this is NOT a Remake but more like a Sequel to the original Vacation with Chevy Chase Lonni added that the Chris Hemsworth scene makes it worth seeing alone. Dionna Renee added to see the movie and all of them convinced me to see it.

New to DVD this week Divergent Series #Insurgents Mark talked with the very amazing very professional Shailene Woodley who apparently gave up coffee during the shooting of this movie according to Kelly. Mark also talked with Theo James who all the girls loved.
With apologies Mark and crew ran out of time to talk about Paper Tiger.

As I said earlier we have new panelist to Mark at the Movies, Lonni Rivera and Suzanne and they did such a great job Plus add in the already familiar Mark, Kelly, Brian, Dionna this weeks show was very, very good and I really enjoyed it. Once I get more information on any Social Media the 2 members may have I will pass on to you. With that said Mission: Impossible is also new next week and with that I will see you at the movies....
