Minions Rock The Box Office @Markatthemovies Episode 302 Highlights
Week of 7/11/2015 - 7/12/2015
Box Office Report:
We have a NEW #1 it appears. The cute loveable yellow Twinkie looking Minions are rising to the top of the Box office with $115,200,000 dropping Disney Pixar Inside Out out of the #1 spot and back in the 3 hole with Jurassic World sliding back into #2. Thus meaning The Gallows will open in the 5th spot meaning Magic Mike will fall out of the top 5 and Terminator Genisys will fall 1 spot to #4. Selfless is also not doing very well. Should the Minions win and estimates are correct it would be on course to make approximately $120 million by Sunday, which the tracking site said would be the biggest animated opening — ahead of recent blockbusters such as "Shrek 2," "Toy Story 2" and "Shrek the Third."

Mark loved this movie and so did Kelly. Jordyn not much of a fan. Heather and her kids loved it.

Julian hung out on the Black Carpet in Fresno, CA talking with Pfeifer Brown, Cassidy Gifford and others
Kelly: Talked with the cast of the film and said this movie was in production since 2011 and the actors kept their real names in the movie.
This movie scared Jordyn so bad.

Final Thoughts:
This week on Mark at the Movies Episode 302 started off in the Retro Reel Review with the amazing Gino Salomone delivering yet another classic Gino interview with his friend Comedian Gilbert Gottfried sending Channing Tatum a personal message. (I MUST SEE the Unedited Version) Also in Retro Reel Review the cast consisting this week of Mark S. Allen Kelly Savanna Deaton Brian Crall Alexa Renee Heather Brent and Jordyn M. Rolling to talk Terminator and more importantly Mark talking with Emilia Clarke and SHORT-E ON HOT 1035 getting a Game of Thrones question in.
Once they completed this portion of the show they then talked about Self/Less and we'll just say the feelings were mixed on this movie but Mark had a surprising comment.
The next movie talked about Minions everyone seemed to enjoy but Jordyn wasn't as a big as a fan as the others but still added to see it. Mark talked with Sandra Bullock Jon Hamm Allison Janney about the movie. Heather said she and her kids loved it while Alexa added she loved the different eras it covered as well as Sandra's role in the film.
The Third and final film talked about this week was The Gallows and Mark needed Julian Soto to cover the Black Carpet event in Fresno and once again Julian did a FANTASTIC Job. In addition to his coverage Kelly interviewed the stars of the movie including Cassidy Gifford Pfeifer Brown and added this movie was in production since 2011 and the actors kept their real names in the movie. Jordyn added this movie scared the.... out of her.
On a side note about this weeks show it was this type of interaction that I love between the cast. Thank you for another GREAT week. Next week Ant-Man and Trainwreck lead the way so until then I will see you at the Movies....
