Opening Statement:
Welcome to the Weekend Edition of Today in the News. I can tell you with the knowledge I have today's Good Day Sacramento show is HUGE!!!!! They have a lot planned and only 4 hours to get it done. I am always amazed how much they do in just 4 hours. I reiterate I would love for Good Day to do a show that shows you everything it takes to put on a show. I would love to have them show us the show from Cody's and Amy's perspective because if you never visited the studio they are always so busy during segments, before segments and during commercials. No they are not just sitting at the desk they are doing actual work. They can get so busy they sometimes really don't see the show until after. A year or so ago they did a small YouTube video after the show called Favorite Part of the Weekend Show. I would love for that to come back if possible. Anyway enough about that lets see what actually takes place Today in the News.....

The Sun City Harmonicoots are a dozen guys who play shows all over Roseville, using only their harmonicas! Final Thought:
Good Day Sacramento had so much activity on the show I don't know where to begin so I will begin with how much I liked to new twist to the show info page listing the Weekend Play List for each hour. I found that to be a great idea and I hope it becomes a weekend show staple posting the songs.
Today is National Pajama Day and the cast & crew all dressed in PJ's and in classic Good Day Sacramento style they had a fashion show while Amy & Cody talked with Jumpin Jammerz about their product. I thought Bailee looked the cutest buy many others thought Producer Amanda did in casual black. The other thing that appears to becoming a Saturday staple is What's for Breakfast and today it was from Dickey's new Midtown location. Dickey's is also the November Grub Run with Tina. Tina also learned how to decorate trees from RC Wiley, Went a Craft Fair and met Comedian Eric Buss, creator of the Bubble Wrap Popping Bike be sure to see Eric at the Mandarin festival all weekend.
Lori got tips on how to create cereal treats from the Pantry Overflow lady Diana Davis. Today they made pancakes with cereal and also cereal bars. Lori also showed us a local Boy Scout troop sending candy to all the troops.
Michael stopped by to give us produce tips for our thanksgiving meal.
We got to meet Show Dogs with Neda and in the 8 she joined in on the fun. After Neda finished second in the Dog Show she went to an Estate sale for the final 2 hours of the show.
Kevin filled in for Lori in the 9-10am hours at the Roseville Parade with the GIANT Cody head on a poster.
Melissa helped us all save money for Black Friday.
Amy talked with the chef of Embassy Suite who cooked up breakfast using left overs from your thanksgiving day meal and brought his friend Bacon Boy to hand out bacon. She showed us beautiful gift ideas from Bath Boutique so make sure you check out their product.
Cody got to talk with Café Bernardo's about their Peppermint Cupcakes. Cody also introduced us to the Sun City Harmonicoots who played a couple of songs but did not take the Soft Kitty Challenge. Cody also talked to a 4 year old who could probably kick my butt with her fitness training and fighting abilities.
Cody and Amy talked with comedian Jo Koy. But perhaps the highlight of Cody's day was the Skype interview with Doctor Who Sacramento Fan Club creator Caroline Meier about the 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who.

Good Day Sacramento had so much activity on the show I don't know where to begin so I will begin with how much I liked to new twist to the show info page listing the Weekend Play List for each hour. I found that to be a great idea and I hope it becomes a weekend show staple posting the songs.
Today is National Pajama Day and the cast & crew all dressed in PJ's and in classic Good Day Sacramento style they had a fashion show while Amy & Cody talked with Jumpin Jammerz about their product. I thought Bailee looked the cutest buy many others thought Producer Amanda did in casual black. The other thing that appears to becoming a Saturday staple is What's for Breakfast and today it was from Dickey's new Midtown location. Dickey's is also the November Grub Run with Tina. Tina also learned how to decorate trees from RC Wiley, Went a Craft Fair and met Comedian Eric Buss, creator of the Bubble Wrap Popping Bike be sure to see Eric at the Mandarin festival all weekend.
Lori got tips on how to create cereal treats from the Pantry Overflow lady Diana Davis. Today they made pancakes with cereal and also cereal bars. Lori also showed us a local Boy Scout troop sending candy to all the troops.
Michael stopped by to give us produce tips for our thanksgiving meal.
We got to meet Show Dogs with Neda and in the 8 she joined in on the fun. After Neda finished second in the Dog Show she went to an Estate sale for the final 2 hours of the show.
Kevin filled in for Lori in the 9-10am hours at the Roseville Parade with the GIANT Cody head on a poster.
Melissa helped us all save money for Black Friday.
Amy talked with the chef of Embassy Suite who cooked up breakfast using left overs from your thanksgiving day meal and brought his friend Bacon Boy to hand out bacon. She showed us beautiful gift ideas from Bath Boutique so make sure you check out their product.
Cody got to talk with Café Bernardo's about their Peppermint Cupcakes. Cody also introduced us to the Sun City Harmonicoots who played a couple of songs but did not take the Soft Kitty Challenge. Cody also talked to a 4 year old who could probably kick my butt with her fitness training and fighting abilities.
Cody and Amy talked with comedian Jo Koy. But perhaps the highlight of Cody's day was the Skype interview with Doctor Who Sacramento Fan Club creator Caroline Meier about the 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who.
