Opening Statement:
Today is a Special Edition of Today in the News. Today is the FIRST EVER Good Day Sacramento Talent Show and I will bring you full highlights in addition to all the other segments from the show. But before we begin I want to send my thoughts and prayers to all those in the Midwest who we lost or got displaced during the storms that hit Sunday.

Final Thoughts:
Before getting to the recap of the Good Day Sacramento Talent Show I want to talk about the non talent portion of the show. Most importantly the event Kristin covered and Mark assisted in. Swim-A-Thon will raise funds for the Roseville Police Officers Association, providing for those affected by the Oct. 25 shooting in Roseville, CA. This beautiful soul brought tears to my eyes every time they would go back to her. Great to see Mark assist as well.
The other non talent portion part of the show I wanted to talk about was  Fresh and Tasty Treats. What a great idea for birthdays, weddings or anniversary or even valentines day nothing says I love you by eating your loved ones face in chocolate.
Good Day Sacramento Got Talent?
Yes, Yes they do. The show kicked off with a performance that was so hot Melissa blew smoke out of her mouth. No she really did. It was so freakin cool I could not believe my eyes and it was by far one of my favorite performances. Last night I had a Facebook conversation with another Good Day Sacramento viewer about how we thought Amy would do and I told her and she agreed Amy wasn't giving herself enough credit because we knew Amy had talent and she proved that today. She made the water harp work and she dressed so cute it wouldn't have mattered if it worked. Next in the 7am it was Mark's turn to become Mark S. Garibaldi.  Mark painted a very nice picture of the GREAT John Lennon. I hope Mark keeps it and hangs it in his home. Following Mark was Marianne and her new friend Willie. Marianne had strong funny content and for never talking with a dummy other than me she did very well. In the 8am hour it was time for Ju and Courtney to take the stage. In a twist to Ju's performance she brought in everyone's favorite CBS13 weather girl/Good Day Sacramento 9am cohost Laura Skidre to help with the first part of her performance. Once Laura exited stage left Ju also brought in the BIG GUNS. River Bells Sacramento to perform a Maroon 5 hit. HOLYCOW! That was straight beautiful. The final 8am performance was the beautiful and trained dancer Courtney Dempsey who twerked in a bear suit. Courtney was graceful, beautiful and flat out classy.
Now that the warmup acts completed it was time for the headline act. Oh My Goodness. Ken Rudolph was so freakin good I could not believe my eyes or my ears. That boy can sing.  No wonder he is a part of The Tipsy Hustlers.
The show was spectacular and I really hope they do the Good Day Sacramento Talent show again when Cody and Tina can be a part of it. So who won? We the viewers clearly won today but Good Day Sacramento you won the ratings in a landslide. Thank you for a GREAT SHOW and to everyone who had a part in the show including the sponsors, camera, stage, control, and trainers.
