Yesterday was a sad day after a UC Santa Cruz student passed away at a camp site from a tree falling on top of her. The weather was extremely hot (105) and will return to that or close today for the 4th of July. The news will be all over the festivities and using fireworks properly today so for all these stories and more Welcome to Today in the News July 4th Edition.

Also remember just because fireworks say they are Safe & Sane they are not safe if you or someone chooses to be stupid with them and DO NOT THROW IN TRASH WITHOUT WATER OR NEAR YOUR HOME.

Also falling 1 spot will be Geostorm with an estimated $5,675,000 which also means Happy Death Day falls to 4th with an estimated $5,099,000.
