Cambi: Polar Plunge “Freezin For A Reason”
Today on Good Day Cambi and Tina talked with Julie Rouse and her group of people who took the plunge in freezing waters for Nick Rouse. Who is Nick you ask? At 17 Nick was on a rope swing when he dove into the water he landed head first on river bed breaking his neck in 2 places, causing his C-1 vertebrae to crack and C-5 vertebrae to shatter. Nick is now a C-5 quadriplegic which means he is paralyzed from mid-chest down, has some arm and wrist movement but no hands or finger movement. Today with the help of Help HOPE Live, a non-profit organization, people can dove into the pool to raise money for all people in Nick’s position.
