It was founded by President Franklin Roosevelt in 1938 to combat polio but has since taken off to promote general health for pregnant women and babies. Families and teams will walk to raise money to support the cause to prevent prematurity and birth defects.

The Caledonian Club of Sacramento is celebrating the 140th anniversary by bringing their games to Woodland, when they are normally held at McKinley Park! Several champions will be attending this year which includes Brian Wilson from Northern Ireland who the current World Drum Major Champion for the 3rd time!
