Today in the News Special Report: Kings:
Today marks the official new era of the Sacramento Kings and it is sure to be one crazy night at the #LLTKRally at Cesar Chavez Park in Sacramento. As recently as last week the NBA BOG voted 22-8 to keep the Kings in Sacramento and not allow them to move to Seattle. Just about 36 hours later the team was sold to a new ownership group from the old Maloof brothers who ran the franchise into the ground over recent years. But the past is now behind us and its time to look forward to a new beginning but I write with some disappointment because earlier today Grassroots effort creator Carmichael Dave made his way to the media outlets of Sacramento. In fact he hit all the outlets but 1. About a year ago Dave was in my opinion wrongfully fired from his DJ job at Sports1140 a part of CBS Radio and home of the Kings for fighting for them to stay. The local CBS news station CBS13 didn't exactly warm of the Kings staying in the early part of their coverage when it appeared the team would be lost to Seattle though in my opinion just covered it from a different angle Dave would take to his twitter account to bash their coverage of what they headlined Kingdom Crumpled. So did Dave losing his job at CBS Radio play a part did his bashing of coverage (Sometimes justified) make the powers at be at CBS13/CW31 make Dave not stop by the studio this morning to promote tonight's event? No one really knows but as a viewer and friend to many of CBS13/CW31 Good Day Sacramento it was disappointing to see Dave travel to News10 (twice) Fox40, & My58. Lets hope as time goes on all wounds if any can and will be healed.
