Nha was at Bishop’s Pumpkin Farm who held their 5th Annual Run Your Gourd Off 5k and Kid’s ½ Mile Pumpkin Dash to benefit The Child Abuse Prevention Center. Nha was with Maceo Hart-Kapic with H and K Farms which is a booming business out of Elverta. Good Day featured the spot last year–run by (at the time) high schooler Maceo Hart-Kapic. Maceo is now running the farm from the UC Berkeley campus, where he is currently going to school. Nha was at Mrs. Kay's Sweet Treats getting a preview of Tuesday's October 4th New Product Testing Event from 530-7pm.

Dave was at the Final Day of The 19th Annual Sacramento Reptile Show at the Sacramento Convention Center this weekend. Dave was at the 9th Annual Hot Pink Fun Run in Downtown Roseville to benefit Placer Breast Cancer Foundation. Dave previewed A Taste of New Sacramento in Old Sacramento where people can soon get a taste of Sacramento with growing wines, craft beers and more on and around the Delta King and it benefits Shriners Hospital For Children. Dave was with local Sacramento skateboarders, invited by Red Bull and PLA Skateboarding, will have the opportunity to showcase their creative skills on custom parking blocks and double-sided curbs. Practiced by generations past to present, curb skateboarding has and always will be a party of the sport’s DNA! Red Bull Curb Kings is a street skateboarding event that is closing down 20th street in front of Lowbrau.
Melissa was getting a preview of the 7th annual Whiskers & Wine fundraising auction benefiting the Bradshaw Animal Shelter Oct. 1st. Melissa had her Run Don't Walk Deal of the Day. #SunDog Video of the Week. Melissa had 2 Minutes of Mayhem. Melissa was with Chelsea Minor from Raley’s to show just how easy, always so fun, surprisingly delicious, educational and quirky cooking with cans really is! Heather: Peace Officer Memorial Run
Today on Good Day Heather was at the Peace Officers Memorial Run with Safety Faire taking place from 7-1pm. This race was developed to honor the police officers from Stanislaus County who were killed in the line of duty. In honor of these heroes, the start line, finish line and each mile of the half marathon will be dedicated to one of the 15 fallen officers from Stanislaus County. The officers’ photo along with the agency they worked for and their “End of watch” date will be displayed at their mile marker. Multiple officers will be running in full uniform showing their dedication and pride to the badge of honor they wear.

Today on Good Day Dave was at the 9th Annual Hot Pink Fun Run in Downtown Roseville to benefit Placer Breast Cancer Foundation.Roseville will be turning into a sea of pink with the 9th annual Hot Pink Fun Run that has become a major celebration and a remembrance for all the breast cancer survivors and those who were not as fortunate to beat the dreaded disease. Downtown Roseville is expected to attract 1,200 pink-clad runners, many of them dressed in various outlandish pink outfits!

Recipe:
Zinfandel Cherry Sorbet Recipe
Ingredients
½ cup water
1 cup zinfandel (or other dark red wine)
½ cup coconut sugar
1 lime
3 cups of sweet cherries, pitted and frozen
Instructions
1. Six hours or more ahead of time, combine the zinfandel, coconut sugar, and water in a small saucepan. Keeping the burner on very low heat, reduce this mixture down until it is ¾ to 1/2 cup of liquid. (This takes about one hour, but for this recipe for sorbet, is worth the wait!). Set aside to cool, and then refrigerate until cold.
2. Place the chilled wine and sugar reduction along with the 3 cups of frozen cherries and the juice of one lime.
3. Using a Vitamix or a regular household blender start machine on low, turn machine on and increase to medium for five seconds, then slowly increase to High for about one minute. Use the tamper to push the ingredients into the blades. Reduce to low for an additional 15 to 30 seconds.
4. Serve up immediately and enjoy!!

2. Place the chilled wine and sugar reduction along with the 3 cups of frozen cherries and the juice of one lime.
3. Using a Vitamix or a regular household blender start machine on low, turn machine on and increase to medium for five seconds, then slowly increase to High for about one minute. Use the tamper to push the ingredients into the blades. Reduce to low for an additional 15 to 30 seconds.
