In 1972-1983 we had MASH. In 1989-today we have The Simpsons. In 1995-today we have Good Day Sacramento. 3 shows that have
withstood the time on TV & today we celebrate 18 years of Good Day Sacramento. Ive included an open letter sent to cast & Crew of Good Day Sacramento:
Happy Birthday Good Day Sacramento Family.
I know I was not a part of the original shows in 1995. I was out making my millions however I fell about $99999.00 short of that goal. But I can say as of late 2003 early 2004 I was finally introduced to this GREAT show that ended up saving my life on more occasions than I can count. In my 10 years or so of watching we have shared a lot of tears but more laughs some laughs that turned into tears from laughing so hard. I love each and everyone of you like family. Marianne & Ken the aunt & uncle of the family & their band of children. Tina, Audrey, Courtney, ju, Laura are like the cousins I've always wanted. Cody, Mark are brothers from another, Amy is the younger sister I've never had. Lori, Nina, & Kristin are also like sisters. However Mel & Sean have to be the crazy adventurous aunt & uncle that everyone loves & how can we leave out Alan. I watched Alan grow up. I saw the blood, sweat, tears, hair changes and shaved head. He is like a cousin that worked so hard like each of you did to get where you are today. But I can't forget the current producers, SAP, control booth, floor crew, cameras & everyone behind the scenes I am so proud of each of you. You all have done & do great work at your craft. You are all family to me as well. We all love to Ask Eleanor the juicy Hollywood gossip. We said goodbye to some we loved & some we didn't but they are all still a part of this family. I was looking up info and though it may not be 100% accurate for this date & time, did you know that Coolio had 1 of the top songs in 1995? Gangsta's Paradise. One of the top movies when you first aired was Mortal Combat and we could all count on Rachel & Ross to be there for us with Friends and flash forward 18 years later we still have friends we can count on to be their... Yes all of you at Good Day Sacramento. Like the Cure Lovesong says. No matter what I say I will always love you and like Prince said in Purple Rain I would die for you. Yes Good Day Sacramento I said it & mean it. I will die for you & I will always love you no matter what I say. I left Mark in charge of a small token of my appreciation and a heartfelt wish on this day of birth 18 years ago to the GREATEST show on morning TV since Captain Kangaroo Good Day Sacramento.
