Final Thoughts:
Captain America Winter Soldier Broke the Box Office for April. With a $96,000.00 it was this weeks clear cut winner sinking Noah and his boat to the number 2 spot grossing $17,000.00. Rounding out the top 5 we saw Divergent continue to drop 1 spot to number 3 followed by Gods Not Dead at 4 and Grand Budapest Hotel taking the 5th spot in this weeks countdown.
Next week Draft Day should do well however I think Captain America will maintain the top spot at least another week at the Box Office.
After a disappointing show last week this weeks show was the complete opposite. This weeks show would rank in one of the top 10 for the year thus far. It had everything we love about Mark at the Movies.
This weeks show had a change that I liked a lot. The Retro Reel Review was "Stripped Down" when Mark flew solo talking to Taylor. Yes, Taylor is a dancer who gives a "good time" but lets be honest her review of Noah was real and not by the book like you might here from other "Critics" so I like that about Mark at the Movies.
This week the main movie talked about was Captain America Winter Soldier. Floor Director Julian ran point for this movie and did an amazing job with all his interviews with Samuel L Jackson, Anthony Mackie, and of course Chris Evans. During the Chris Evans interview Julian provided Chris with a viewer question and the question came from Sacramento Radio Station KSFM's 102.5 Afternoon Deejay Bre. Bre is the love interest of Julian but has always been one of my favorites to listen to on the radio as well. EXCELLENT JOB Julian!!!
The other movie talked about was a new documentary Madagascar with Morgan Freeman as Narrator. One thing about Mark is he always finds kid reporters who do a very good job. For Example Brittany Young and Brooke Lusk all contest winners. This week Lauren and Brianna traveled to San Diego to talk to a Lemur expert and Morgan Freeman himself. They did a GREAT job talking to Morgan Freeman but when they appeared with the expert they looked horrified. Why? Where they scared of the Lemur? No, According to Mark minutes before going live they really didn't want to do it, however they did and did not look comfortable at all.
This weeks Round Table Panel consisted of Rachel, Anna, Heather, Mike, Brian, Big Al, Brook and Mark. GREAT JOB this week. It was nice to have the show back on point.
With that I will see you at the movies where Mark and cast talk Draft Day with Kevin Costner
Guests:
Taylor - Works at a very nice Dance Club in Rancho Cordova named Gold Club.
Julian Soto: Julian is the Stage Director for Mark at the Movies and during the week you can also see Julian run the floor cameras for Good Day Sacramento. Julian is one of the nicest guys you could meet and very good at his job.
